Can you add something like BBQ seasoning, to disguise the taste/smell of smokey food?Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0

When you transferred it did you scrap the burnt bits off or just transfer the free moving stuff?
Apparently ( I say this as I've never tried this tip) if your stew/casserole catches you should put 2 or 3 ice cubes in the new bowl and then transfer the stuff that tips out. This cools the transferred stew so stopping it catching again.
Agree that adding flavours may work the best if the burnt flavour has transferred.0 -

I've just burnt spaghetti bolognese to the bottom of the pan:mad: I quickly tipped it into another pan and left the burnt layer in the first pan. I've now tasted the bolognese and it tastes burnt!!! Is there any way at all of getting rid of that burnt taste, or is my tea going to the (imaginary) dog?
Thanks x:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
I'm afraid that happened to me once and it had to be binned
You could try turning it into a chilli by adding chilli and cumin which might take the bitter taste away, but I doubt it tbh and you might waste more ingredients0 -
No, sorry it's a casualty. I have tried everything in the past and nothing works, just the bin. Hope you can rescue your pan.0

Soak your burnt pan with some biological wash powder in it - it will lift it off like magic
The spag bol is destined for the bin though I'm sorry to say:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
