even if you were going to get scented plants, i doubt it would be able to block out the smell of poo. she is obviously anti social and i wouldnt be worried about informing the authorities and ensuring that a) the dog is well cared for and b) the garden is cleaned up, its really not acceptable that people do this, it would drive me mad.

we have a dog that is officially my partners (when we moved in, a condition on him by me was that he would clear up after the dog). i make him do it every day but even if i see the dog has done it during the day when my partner is at work, i have to go out and get rid of it (retching every second with my face turned away-what a drama) because i cannot stand the thought of it on the lawn and that he might tread on it and bring it in.

urg, some people are just disgusting

To be honest with you I think its doubtful that they will do anything with it being the first time ive complained, although they said they will be sending me a booklet out on noise nuisense and told me to contact them again if it continues to happen, re: leaving the dog out.

After speaking to my other neighbour, who has lived on the estate most of her life, she told me she was surprised they are even allowed to keep a dog as her son (the one who lives with her) got into trouble years ago for killing a dog, whether its true or not I dont know but both my neighbour and her mum (who lives on the next street) are adament it happened.

Anyway, I will keep you informed on any developments.

Now I just have to deal with all the ruddy cats crapping in my garden, supersoaker should do the trick me thinks.
  • Dog mess can attract rats ... old or not she shouldn't be impacting on your life like that.

Near me there's a terrace row and they frequently have a rat problem - Environmental health blames the dog mess in the blokes next doors garden.
