Well, as the title suggests..... pretty gross!!! Took the rest of the bag and the offending unwelcome guest back to the shop! Apparently, we'll be written to in about 4 weeks after they've tested it and established which farm it came from?!?! We had the cost of the product refunded there and then, we'll have to see if head office send anything more!
Anyone else had something similar with Tesco?

hey! I did, although it was many years ago... I was cooking sunday lunch for my then boyfriend and tipped a bag of frozen sweetcorn into the saucepan and there was a giant maggot in it... euwww he said ... not the best of dates. Anyway I wrote to them ( but I think it was sainsbury own brand) and said "if the way to a man's heart is through his stomach I've just blown another budding romance" and enclosed the maggot. They wrote back to me ( with vouchers) and said it wasn't a maggot as such but a sweet corn caterpillar or something from when it was growing in the field0

I'm sure I'll get a similar letter! I expect this was a caterpillar too then! They all look the same when they've been frozen for 2 months and then boiled for 5 minutes!!!
At least we didn't eat it! My wife is pregnant, so it made her feel even more sick then she already was!:T If you don't have anything sensible to say, don't say it! :T0 -
I'll check my sweetcorn thoroughly from now on _pale_, I had no idea it was such a risky food :eek:AKA: PC
