How shocking ! Be assured that all possible procedures are taken to remove any bugs or foreign objects from foods in the UK, The problem lies with the way that us as consumers are demanding cheaper and cheaper foods and sadly this comes at a cost !
If the Supermarkets where not so greedy and taking 30% profit margin on frozen vegetables the company freezing and bagging the product could invest in better machinery and pay the growers who talke ALL the risks a better and more reasonable price !"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

I had frozen peas with a big green caterpillar. they were organic (including the caterpillar, I guess) At least he had a good meal before he was frozen solid. I didn't complain though - as I am used to vegetables from the garden and the odd caterpillar will not kill you...0

They could invest in better machinery, but would they? What incentive will they have to buy new machinery? The machinery they have now produces goods that meet the standard for food in the UK.
I can't see investing in new machinery doing anything to increase sales. After all, an advertising campaign saying "Buy XYZ Frozen Peas, they don't have as many caterpillars in them now" isn't going to increase sales, is it.0 -
I had a bag of french beans with a snakes head in it. Never found the body! Returned it to shop & did not hear anything back.0

A little extra protein won't hurt you :rotfl:.
I was once running for a bus and felt something hit the inside of my mouth,I gagged bit down and tasted something very sweet and not unpleasant to be honest.
I was nearly sick when I spat it out and saw it was a huge blue bottle .0 -

My thought exactly, they eat all those insects on I'm a celebrity, I'm sure a little maggot or caterpillar won't hurt.0 -
