Wireless Router - Help Please!

Having trouble connecting a wireless router 
Have bought netgear one and there seem to only be instructions on how to plug it in! I'm probably totally missing something so would be grateful for any help in easy to understand language :rotfl:

is the wireless router up and running or you have just turned it on and nothing can connect
are you connected via a cable to it at the moment ??
are you using a Laptop with wireless to try to connect or a PcEx forum ambassador

Ok - am trying to connect it to desktop with broadband connection currently. Haven't got a clue what to do next! Want to use it to connect to a wireless enable laptop.

ok heres a page to set up your router

they look more complicated than they are..
to get it going, plug the router into your network card, and the phone line, switch it on, and go to 192.168.0.1 in internet explorer, enter admin and password, and then put in your isp username and password.. and click apply.
then you will need to make it secure and get wireless working.. because at this point, your neighbours can connect to it, and possibly your PC..Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
