Butchers- Where to get cheap quality meat!?
Comments

McCartneys of Moira is the best butchers in NI in my opinion and worth 20 mins up the road from Belfast. I never said they were cheap, but I think we've established that you get what you pay for...

Yep, but as the second poster said, 'cheap' and 'quality' don't go together when it comes to meat. 'Good Value' and 'quality' can go together if you go to the right place - hence the long queues at a butcher's (McDowells) in the middle of nowhere.
How dare you I grew up not 3 miles away........just kidding
Sorry as usual speed reading and missed that post, thanks.Dave0 -

Have you tried Corrie meats farm shop at crossnamuckly newtownards. I go once a month the meat is the best. They rear all their own animals and slaughter on farm so you know what your getting the meat comes straight to the farm shop from the slaughterhouse. If you buy say 5lb of chicken or steak it's cheaper. I'm not saying it the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I travel 25 miles to get it. It's worth at least one visit.0

I would recomend Stanley's Meat Centre at the Fortwilliam shops on the Antrim. Excellent quality meat, great value and friendly staff. And no, I am not related to them, I along with many others shop there regularly.0

I didn't realise Moy Park had a factory shop, is it open to the public? If so do you know exactly where it is and what the opening hours are?

Crosskeys Meats who supply to trade have a factory shop at their Craigstown Industrail Estate site in Randalstown. They also have a shop instore at Spar Galgorm.
I got a 2.27 kg (5lb) pack of bacon for £9.25 and they have loads of other offers too. Meat is a really good quality and very tasty. Worth a visit0
