    hello again:j :j :j

    4tbs oat = 1 oz
    3tbsflour=1oz

    now my hubby wonders what the mad woman is doing in and out of the kitchen:D ...he should know that nothing comes between a girl and her sweet goodies:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    If you are making meatballs again..another thing i do is when you are shaping them...pop a little cube of cheese in the middle...mmmmm great for using up the end bits...as my hubby never seems to wrap it up properly....its nice with a small piece of mozzarella in too

    The hobnobs are in now, just time to sit down, cool off and have some nasty nicotine before i'll swap the shelves round. Next on my list is shepherd's pie with lamb mince! What kind of sauce should i put the mince in do you think?

    OOOOHHHH im back....

    Have spotted the shepherds pie bit....one of my favourite meals....

    when i do mine i shove the mince, onions and carrots in a le creuset pan or casserole dish and stick it in the oven..it almost roasts the mince (much more flavour)..
    and then i crumble in lamb stock cubes, some porridge oats (great for thickening) stir it round and then add some hot water from the potatoes and stick it back in the oven....
    i never do mince on the hob...much easier in the oven:D :D and then when i take it out i stir in mint sauce...mmm then just pile it into the baking dish...add the mash..and i beat an egg into my mash - it halps it stay fluffy and then i dot it with butter before shoving it in the oven..it comes out crispy and hubby always thought it was cheeses:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    mmmm butter tartlet!!! Sending you virtual hobnobs instead, they really do smell delicious! :j

    Thank you for being so tactful, i think i must be mad!! Lucky that OH is sleeping right through, the kitchen looks a right mess just now!

    When do you actually leave for Germany? Sounds like a big adventure! Which part are you going to? When we moved out of my DM and DF's house a few months ago, i hated having to pack everything up, and nothing was organised, but so worth it on the first night in our new place!! :T Are you going because of work?

    Oooh, fantastic, thank you!! Cooking it for the freezer again, will do it in the oven, with porridge oats! Not sure about the egg if freezing it, what do you think? Sounds like a great idea though! Will also need to remember to put butter on the top before cooking! Hopefully OH won't think it's cheese!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    I know i can only thank once per message, but another big THANK YOU to you MRSMCAWBER for your help and keeping me company :T :j :beer:
