Hiya
Title says it all really, I promise I have searched for it through here and google hoping it might by chance show me where it is but to no luck so now I need to ask has anyone seen where its hiding as I've decided I'm fed up of cooking daily and want to venture into batch cooking.
Anyone think it could be a sign that maybe I shouldn't lol.
Many Thanks

I cannot find anywhere else to post this, the threads I look at all seem to have last posts months ago so surely no one will answer.
I want to make cottage pies for the freezer (Individual ones). I have bought the foil trays with lids, I am assuming these can go in the freezer and oven. Can I freeze them before the final stage(putting in oven) as I would prefer to cook them when I want them, also can I cook them from frozen.0 -
I assume you mean with everything cooked including the mashed potatoe, then yes freeze them then take out and put in oven to brown off the potatoe and heat everything through.0

Thankyou, yes I did mean that.0

Living alone and cooking for one is starting to prove very wasteful and costly for me. I don't have time to shop frequently unfortunately so I often freeze things after cooking in batches.. At the moment I mainly freeze bolognaise. I wonder if anyone had any other ideas for things that can be frozen and reheated.
Also, any ideas what keeps well in the fridge and what doesn't. I must admit I am quite useless at all this. Thanks.0 -
To freeze:
lasagne
chilli
any roast meat in the gravy (brisket is very nice!)
lentil curry
mash potato
beef casserole
soups and stews
Hope this helps!Don't be a sheep, be a shepard!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I've tried freezing most things. Pasta and rice freeze fine so I have frozen left over pasta dishes and curry and rice etc. I even froze the left over vegetables from the Xmas dinner last year as they could be used to feed the kids!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife
