Placecards??

Although I think this has probably been discussed to death, another thing I've just thought of is that one of our friends used their placecards to designate menu choices and special diets: those who were vegetarian, or those with a specific requirement had a small (pre-agreed) coloured sticker on their placecard, which saved the embarrassment of having to turn food away from the serving staff, and meant that people got the right dishes straight away...

That's a good idea indiegirl.
We're giving the venue the table plan with all the meals written in, I really am stressing over people getting the wrong meals!

Our venue have insisted on place cards with the meal choices on the rear (each guest has a choice of 2 meals for each course).

Plus I have a few guests with nut allergies so they are getting a special meal, so yes it's important unless I want one of my guests to die?!

I went to a wedding in 2008 and the food choice was written inside the placecard. Its amazing the number of people who couldnt remember what they had ordered and were convinced it wasnt what was put infront of them.
