    YAWN!!

Sorry OP- just I think I may be the only Bride in the world who finds weddings a total waste of money- i just cannot wait to be married to my OH but find the fluff that goes with it too mundane for words- so I honestly am interested and want to ask all the brides on this forum........WHY does any of it matter if you are marrying the man of your dreams how can you possibly care about place mats? Am i really missing something here? My MIL certainly seems to think so!!

I think you usually just put people's first name, or their full name. Not 'Auntie Ann' etc

I would go for First Name, Last Name. Not too stuffy and formal, but makes sure there are no confusions. Ie. Which mum or which Mrs Smith.

I find it often helps if people know where to sit so they get the right meal etc :p

No need to be like that it is a genuine question- sorry it is off thread- but would you not agree that by writing'' totally ignoring Tabskitten'' you are obviously not ignoring at all?!

weddings mean different things to people, certainly we all agree that marrying the man of your dreams is the most important thing, but some people want the little details of their day to be right.
everybody has different tastes/ideas but it doesnt mean that one or the other is wrong.

i would put first and second names, no Affixs unless its a joke, like i have a friend called jakey john.

I haven't really thought about this but I suppose it might be quite nice to put "Father of the Bride", "Mother of the groom" etc. to make them feel involved in the wedding party... not sure what I'll do.

I am thinking that for the top table I will be putting Mother of the Bride etc but for aunts and uncles I am just going to write their full name. I think that it might get a little long winded as we have quite a few Uncle James's and we would then need to put their surname in too.
