Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms

    Girls room done!!!!!!

Honestly you have no idea!! It was horrific!

I have sorted through every toy box!! .. they now have 3 boxes of toys, 2 boxes to go in the loft, 1 went to the boys room, 2 binbags for charity shop and 2 binbags of rubbish!

Then I got carried away and threw out their rug.. is was so manky..

I swept and vacuumed, so while they have bare floorboards in there.. they are clean bare floorboards!

OH has gone to collect his sister from the train.. *sigh*.. is it bad I had hoped she would change her mind about coming?

He is taking Moomins new CoD's upstairs when he gets back WITHOUT marking my new clean paintwork.. then I'll sort her clothes into it and fling her old CoD's into the boys room.. oh.. there is an empty CoD's in the boys room to be flung out too.. must do that today too.. I'll ring the council about coming to shift it on Tuesday.. 3 pieces of carpet and 3 CoD's and as they will take 8 items I will have to find some other stuff.. oh.. no I won't.. the girls dead bunks will go too.. FLING!

And I need to check Ikea stock on the boys new cupboards at some point..

Best go put the kettle on..

Thank you all. The phone call came in the end and it was a mix of good and bad news. Bad news is I didn't get the job. Good news is that I was second (probably why the phone call was late - they needed to know they secured their preferred candidate first before giving me the finger).

Feedback was good. Apparently my application form was strong as was my interview but the winning lady had more direct experience. They said they would welcome any application from me in the future. So that's good news I suppose at least I didn't flunk completely.

It has given me the confidence to go for a different job that's being advertised. I NEED to get back into full time employment soon for financial reasons.
Awwww, bummer.:( Sorry you didn't get it this time; but glad they gave you some good feedback.

I am going to get the small sized gremlins away to bed and crack open the cream emulsion..
Hmmmm.... I think, given the choice, I'd crack open a nice bottle of cider, for preference.:D

Just decluttering a cup of tea, then going to[STRIKE] bully[/STRIKE] cajole Mr LW into taking me into town to spend the £5 Body Shop voucher in today's Telegraph. We also have a completed crossword to put in the post.

Poor love, he had "Experiment" for lunch.:D Still, he ate it all, so must've been OK. - Grilled umpronounceable Italian cheese, a little pasta, and some delicious pesto that I treated us to from the Italian market.

Are we having a list on Monday this week? Just wondered, with it being Bank Hol and all (and exactly 8 years since the wine tasting when Mr LW and I "officially" got together:D).

Hi SSL - good to see you posting -enjoy the shopping spree xx
Diva I dont have anywhere but thanks for the offer - and I wouldnt know what to do with it!!!!:rotfl:
piggers I know what you mean about visitors coming - its nice to see them but when you are on a roll you just want to keep going! well done with the girls room - it should be so much easier for you to keep it under control now that you have had a clear out and have more storage for them all - that is of course until squeak arrives and then you will be buried in baby stuff for a while:rotfl:

ok I am leaving you for now - I am on strict instructions from AnW'sMum (the slave driver!) to go and do some ebay so i had better i suppose:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    catch you all later
    toots xx

How exciting! Did you find one you liked?

Had a busy day so far. Got up and the muse took me over my first cup of tea and I wrote almost non-stop until about 2pm. Went out shopping so we have food for the weekend but I need to clean the fridges before I put it away.

I shall also be a really nosey rubber necker over the garden fence in about an hour. There were van loads of police including dog handlers out when I drove home. I think they are expecting trouble at the football match... They usually kick off in the park at the bottom of my garden...

    hi everyone

haven't been on for a couple of days, it was DH's 40th birthday  so he was home (normally he works away during the week) which means I don't turn the PC on. House is looking good though!! :j:j I'm still level 1/2 most days but it's getting better and better :D:D

Hope everyone is ok? We're planning a quiet weekend, and going to visit some NGS gardens on Monday :T. I like nosing round other peoples gardens.. especially when I should be digging a new flower bed in mine! :o:D

haven't done much today, had a loooong lie in, been to do the weekly shopping (came in at £52 not too bad for 3 of us), then walked in to town to get new glasses which I love, now shattered and got tummy ache (totm) I thought exercise was meant to help that??!!

Have filled wm x2 and td as well and so far that's it
