    Hi de hi campers!

Thanks to the lovely Jinky for passing my message on last night, sorry I haven’t been around these last 3 weeks. But Jinky has bullied me into coming on and letting you know I’m ok. Many thanks to Toots for her message last night.

Oooh and whilst I think Jinky on your dog dilemma – do you have such things as doggy day care up there? We do, so that may be option. My others last night were carp as usual!

Don’t know what’s going on apart from LL having her scan re-arranged hopefully to today (via FB) – so mega positive vibes for you lovely x

Have stayed on top of the housework, though haven't done any thorough cleans and even the ironing, so not doing too badly in that respect.

I am worrying myself sick about DS, they’ve only been there 3 weeks today and one of them has been badly injured from a landmine, amputated arm and ghastly damaged legs etc, DS tried to cheer me up by saying ‘from the time it happened to him being on the operating table was 26 minutes as they respond so fast’. Not sure I take much comfort from that! Doing really well though in sounding cheery on the phone, so at least I’m not blubbing to him, which would make him feel bad. Then the armoured truck they were in the other day went over a landmine and were stranded in the midday heat under threat of gunfire for 2 hours before they were rescued, he ended up with heat stroke as though it isn’t summer it gets to about 45 degrees already. Luckily no of them was hurt, but it has obviously shook them up never mind us at home. I am fortunate that he can go on FB and keep in touch that day as well as phoning home or my work, so I know I am more lucky than some mum’s.

DD2 has only 7 weeks to go, can’t wait; a bundle of joy to cuddle and love.

Sorry for being a misery guts, will try my best to keep up with the thread. Will read back in and amongst work over the next couple of days. So love and hugs all round, coping/healing vibes to all those that want/need them xx

Hello! Lurking this week - going to join in next week as I am feeling very negative about my home and want it to be pretty and homly again!
Puppy and OH being a mechanic and forces reservist seem to create havoc and mess wherever I look - dog pawprints, oily overalls and dirty camo kit...grrr!

    Very MSE!:D:D

I need to do today's and tomorrow's Flying today, as Mr LW has tomorrow on leave, and wants us to go out for the day.:o

Thankfully, tonight is the last night for a while that he's got to keep the phone by the bed, so maybe tomorrow night I'll have a cat's chance in hell of a little sleep. It's daft, I know, but it's like I'm scared to sleep in case work call him and he doesn't hear the phone.:(

Btw, does anyone else have a household member who leaves 1 sheet of paper on the loo roll, and then says they didn't change it because it wasn't empty? Or is it just a Mr LW quirk? He also leaves a little dribble of water in the bottom of the fizzy water bottle in the fridge, thereby getting out of refilling it and fizzing in with the Sodastream. Oh well, I shouldn't moan I suppose; he does do an awful lot around the house.:o:A

((((HUGS)))) and posi-vibes where needed today; LadyL, Diva, G&B's LO, Carlsberggal, Piggers' DS, and anyone else I've not mentioned by name who needs them.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all

I've done the bathroom and toilet this morning, the computer desk (aka study;)) was done earlier in the week, I did all the bedrooms on Tuesday. I think that covers today's and tomorrow's lists. Also did a load of washing this morning which I managed to hang out for two hours before it started raining, that's hung round indoors now. I also cut the back grass before the rain started and edged it and swept up. the front is still OK......being mostly moss.

Tomorrow I plan to give the living room another good go so it will be OK for the weekend and I won't have to spend all my time cleaning.

Dinner cooking now so I'll try to catch up a bit. Hope everyone's OK. Nice to see Carlsbergal posting again. Hope Lady L is OK today and gets her scan done soon. Hope you get some teaching work soon sexy. Lemanie, glad they're getting you sorted out with some proper tests. I know I've forgotten somebody/something....oh yes, hope Pigpen's DS is OK today.

ETA just seen LL's post, glad you got your scan done and hope you feel less bleugh later ;)

Piggers My DD1 is immune to the stuff too - when I mentioned this to one of the Doctors at the hospital where I worked, she explained (having seen a photo of her by my desk) that when she worked as an SHO in Eire, the Senior Midwife explained that redheads didn't respond to analgesia in the same way:

Apparently the DNA coding error that leaves out the instruction for melanin also beggars up the structure of the nervous system fibres, making it impossible for the bonds between some medications and the body to form, so the meds have no interaction with/effect upon the body.

Of course, if your poor lumpy DS is not a redhead, the same principle follows for any genetic hiccup and he could have just been unlucky!

[sometimes I wonder why I feel I need to know this stuff]

Greenbee, when I look at things your way - you forgot the animal with a walnut sized brain invariably has a morbid terror of plastic bags, trees, and gates that just don't look quite right, btw :D - it does make sense that the car should be easier to handle. I just have to get the coordination right, but the problem is that the Focus doesn't respond to a 'Walk On'!

Everyone else - HOW MANY driving tests ? If I do that, I'll have paid off the instructor's mortgage by Christmas!!!!!

Next Door's cat is currently yelling outside the door wanting to come in again. As he has been since about 9am. It was quite funny watching him hurl himself at the door handle through the glass, but he is getting a little tiresome now.

ETA: My neutered boy has just gone next door and has had his virtue insulted! Next door have had the details of the CPL neutering scheme handed to them together with the address for the PDSA. I promised my cat I wouldn't tell anyone, but really! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Shall I clean? Well, I have done

DD was already 10 minutes late by the time she left for school today (8.55) because she has been rude every morning this week when I have called her (Think something like 'I'MMMMM UUUUUPPPPPPPP!'). Today, there was no call and I decided to go back to sleep. Luckily, her school trip was this afternoon. She can do her room again tonight. Will be interesting to see whether she is rude again tomorrow morning.

    Hi :j
grateful - I wouldn't be seen for dust if a rat came in my classroom. I once had a slow (sp?) worm visit in the middle of a parents' evening that caused chaos - I think I broke a land speed record (of course I was looking for the caretaker ).
