Iam thinking of selling my Iphone 3GS 16GB Black. It's locked to Orange and bought in Dec 2009, superb condition. I want to ask £300 for it..is that too much?

CEX seem to sell them for about £260 if immaculate and unlocked so I think a bit highEx forum ambassador

Do an advanced search on eBay, you can filter for completed listings. Is the handset actually yours to sell? Some networks the phone does not belong to you until you have paid off the contract.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Where do you get this info about the phone not belonging to you? It's the phone Iam looking to sell, not the contract.0 -
You will need to ask your network what their policy is. I guess the nearest example is the difference between getting a car loan where the vehicle belongs to you right away, and getting a car on HP where the vehicle does not belong to you until the HP is paid off.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay vss what the seller will let it go for, on my other forum, there is a guy selling the same handset and he is struggling to get £130 for it, with the desire and legend out, it will and has had a knock on effect of iphone resale

Around £280/£300 is about the going rate on ebay, a little more for unlocked ones.
I was offered £320 cash or £350 exchange by cex.co.uk the other day for my unlocked 3gs 16gb but as theres nothing out there i fancy i declined.0 -

Riiggghhhhtttt lmao, complete rubbish. iPhones hold thier value better than any other handset and to suggest a seller is struggling to sell a 16GB 3GS for £130 is laughable :rotfl:
The Desire and Legend or any other handset in the near future will have zilch effect on the resale value of the iPhone.
A network locked used 3GS iPhone in good condition will sell for around £100 less than new so- 32gb 3GS = £449 approx
- 16gb 3GS = £349 approx
People are and will be willing to pay great prices for iphones for a long time to come. I would suggest you sell the 3GS before the next gen iphone is released at the end of June/early July as the second hand market will then be flooded with the then older iphone version.Hardcore moneysaver0 -

Someone on the iPhone thread here would pay more than that for it.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
