If it's a Sintra he must have the car and the engine wrong then, the sintra came with the 2.2 not a 2.5.

One other thing I wouldnt class early zafiras as 7 seaters but 6 because the middle belt will be a lap belt and I wouldnt put anybody in a lapbelt.

Yep, was from 2003 onwards, they had a face lift, where the rear bench has a proper 3 point middle seat belt, folds three ways (left seat, middle bit and right seat) and has kiddie isofix connectors. You can spot the later ones as they have clear indicators at the back.

Either way this all sounds far too dodgy and cheap to be kosher.

well as i suspected the jeep he went to look at was a pile of junk, so he does not want to sell at moment anyway, but as being as he did not get the jeep, he was going to take speedboat out tomorrow, so went to start up the zafira(and it is a zafira) today and it would not start as (i dont know the technical term as i dont know alot about diesels), the thing that heats everything up before you start a diesel had broken, so he has to get that repaired, tells me he has one on the way from ebay for £200 and his mechanic going to fit when he returns of his holiday in a couple of weeks, told me once its fixed and he found something else i can have it then, but i am now starting to think after viewing all these comments, and talking to a few other friends i am going to try and find a cheap petrol mpv somewhere, as i understand diesels are ok when reliable but if something goes wrong that is related to the engine area then it is a lot more expensive to fix, and if this fault had occurred after i had purchased it, i doubt i could afford to get it fixed, as a garage told him even if he supplied part they would still charge around £500 to fit it, and there is no way i have that sort of cash to throw away, so am gonna look for a cheap petrol knowing that if i really cant find anything suitable and in my price range this one will be available in a couple of months, thanks for your feedback

ANOTHER line and your STILL thinking of buying it in a month or 2? £200 for the part and a garage wants £500 to fit? This is the reason it was in the auction (and the guy got it for buttons) and it's also the reason he's trying to sell it to you. And I would nearly bet my house on the fact its not because "the thing that heats everything up before you start a diesel had broken". Sounds more like the fuel pump. Or something worse.
Glow plugs heat the diesel (via a relay) and there is no way thats £200 or £500 to fit.
Please. Avoid this guy. he's not a mate, he's trying to sell you a squib.
