Hello everyone!
I am flying out to Durban in South Africa, hopefully March next year. I have looked around a tad to see how much I can get flights for and so far the cheapest is about £550. This price is flying from Birmingham to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Johannesburg and finally, Johannesburg to Durban. I entered a departure date of the 10th March and an arrival date of 24th March, however these dates are not set in stone and we can travel (2 adults) anytime really around these dates (give or take up to about 2 weeks I think)
Does anyone know if another date might be cheaper? Or a specific airline? And are we better booking now rather then at the last minute?
Thanks!

Do you have to fly from Birmingham or would you fly from London? You'd have much better options from London.0

Would rather not fly from London but if there is a big difference then we would consider it. Doesn't have to be Birmingham but most websites will only let me enter in one departure airport! Otherwise I'd have said either east mids or even cov! (although i doubt I'd get anything from Cov!)Was debt free... then went travelling!0

Don't mean to disappoint but that sounds pretty reasonable to fly to South Africa. When i went to Cape Town we paid £700+ to fly from manchester! Good luck with the search though!we have love enough to light the streets.0

Nationwide fly from Gatwick and I know that they were quite reasonable last time I looked. I wouldnt know which airlines fly from Birmingham.
Ebookers are coming up with £458 on Emirates. Heathrow to JHB. "Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion". _party_0 -

How long was the journey? My father is moving out there this year and me and my OH are planning to visit next March. Not 100% sure whereabouts he is moving as they are staying with relatives in Durban whilst house hunting but i know he want's to live in the surrounding area! Was debt free... then went travelling!0 -
