I have been a member for a number of years under my deb1home screen name, but for the last three days have been unable to log in, I have requested and received two replacement passwords but even using these I still cannot log in. I have had to register under a new name. I have emailed the tech help but i am wondering what the dickens is wrong. Obviously I can log in with this screen name but am flumoxed as to why I cannot do so with my usual screen name. Any help/ideas/advise would be appreciated.

Have you tried using a different browser to eliminate your machine? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
2 different pcs although only 1 browser (IE) so don't feel that this is an issue. It is various rts of the site that aren't working, and somewhat disappoitinf that the only way to try and get any resolution is to set up another email address, so that you can re-register as it won't accept repeats, then post on the site.:(0

So try using an alternative browser e.g. Firefox here or Opera here both far superior to IE, before blaming the forum. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Are you serious? Why on earth should I install a new browser just to access this site? It clearly demonstartes that the issue is not connected to a pc as it is replicated, and if the site is showing up compatibility issues with IE (incidentally the browser used by almost 60% of people) then surely it is better to address this issue. The only common denominator between the issues is the site.....and from reading other posts I am not the only user with this issue.....
Glad I didn't thank you before or else I w:puld have to unthank you now0 -

Yes I am serious.
You are obviously not serious about resolving your log in problem.
You can eat your slice of humble pie afterwards!

The difference is that you know how to use IE fermi.
I wouldn't go that far.
I rarely use it, as this lappy is on Linux. Had to fire up a VM on virtualbox to test.
(This post is from IE6 BTW.)
upsetbythechanges: If you could post up what version of IE you are using, what OS it's on, and what security software you have installed (maybe that is blocking something), then that may help the MSE web/techie team.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
