previous years they've been fine indoors
never mind, the other ones will be coming inside before too long anyway, first frosts looming:eek:Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Had a rather scrummy Thai Curry last night using the first of my own grown Chillis
So far it's only one of my plants (chilli and pepper) that's been flowering and producing fruit, thought more were starting to but it was just more leaves.
All my plants are now in growbags in the coldframe and getting some tomato feed too so fingers crossed the rest catch up!The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Might be worth letting more airborn insects into your conservatory then!
Belive me, there's plenty! Can't sit and eat dinner for bees, wasps, and other beasties in there that's why I don't understand, I mist and spray as I've tomatoes in there too and they're fruiting like nobody's business!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Is it far too late to plant pepper seeds in a pot on south facing windowsill?
Thanks

Yes, it is too late for peppers this year. You'd get earlier peppers next year if you could keep the plants happy though the winter, but it can be a battle to do that.
Far better IMHO to wait till next February and then go for it, though if you really can't wait, sow four or five seeds and grow a couple of plants just to see how they get on. You can then compare overwintering with all-out uninterrupted growth.0 -

Thanks for advice - I'll wait til Feb and then get some going. I don't trust myself with plants which need nurturing over winter!

Plenty of chillies appearing on my outdoor grown plants. They are 3-4" long at the most, but still green, hoping for them to redden up before I take a harvest.Hoping this year is better than the last.0

Yay my first chillies are turning red! They've been hanging around for weeks and weeks and have now finally decided to turn. Only another 60 or so to go now!All I seem to hear is blah blah blah!0

Thai chillies are easy to grow on the window cill. Simply buy some dried chillies take out the seeds and plant them - much cheaper than buying expensive seed.0

I am growing mine on the window sill and not only are they lovely plants but I have chillis all over them!!
And yesterday I could wait no longer and had to harvest one. It hadn't gone red but it was still really hot and delicious! I was so proud but am going to try and be more patient and see if any of them go red!
