Has anyone tried contacting the company to see what they say to do? Maybe they would send you a voucher for a new one if they aren't sure either. Someone has to have complained before, so they should have some ideas.6

Sounds a bit mad, but would freezing it help. Just thinking that if it has moisture and the water freezes, it might push the bits apart. Not for storing a new one but getting this one working again. Soak, freeze, smash, dry? A lot of effort for a tub of horlix thoughStatement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. Does it still dissolve in its hardened state? Maybe dissolve into a strong mixture , put into the freezer in ice cube trays and just take one out to add more water or milk as needed.2025 Fashion on the ration

How about pouring some water it to top the jar up and the resulting sludgy mix dollop into spoonfuls on a baking tray and freezing them in small spoonfuls, all else fails how about returning it to the manufacturers with a strongly worded letter of complaint and asking them if they can tell you how to remedy it
Its got us all going hasn't it

Thank you for your suggestion Jackie. My husband eho,s also my carer now I,m virtually immobile, had thrown th jar away in exasperation claiming he doesn't have the time or energy to "faff around" with such time wasting activities. So aI guess ahorlicks is now off the agenda. Although you,re right though, there must have been other customers having the same problem. I have emailed them via their website and await a response. (Hate enquiry forms whixh won't go through unless you provide a ohone number though - try to avoid sharing this to non essential contacts to avoid scammers.)5

I have stitched patches on my sofa rather than buy a new sofa. I managed to cut the patches from the hidden skirt corners and means I now have a rather homely looking sofa. We have had sofa since 1999 so quite pleased as will give it a few more years life. I thought it would look awful but quite surprised by the result and very unique. Apparently UPVC doors and windows have a "winter" setting where you can tighten the seals to reduce draughts.
All you need is the appropriately sized Allen key.
Found a tutorial on YouTube it's so easy.
Thanks.

NB, if your windows aren't closing properly, might be time for new hinges. My house had gaps at the edges of the windows and it was due to this - apparently they wear with use (faster if there's grit and dirt on them) and get to the point they can't align the window and frame properly.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. That’s very clever, @otb666. If you can, please share a picture of your sofa, so that we can admire your handiwork. (This thread covers all sorts of things; not just food.)
My tip-of-the-day is that I save my old/used tissues in a jar on my dressing table, and then use them to blot my lipstick, after which I flush them down the loo. If I lived somewhere with a wood-stove, I’d fill a paper bag with them - after the lipstick - and then use that for kindling.
