I'm training dds (11 and 8) to use soap bars instead of liquid handsoap and showergel. I'm SABLE for soap :) I'm also showing them that the liquid handsoap is actually shampoo I'm not fond of. (Soap and shampoos free, courtesy of old employer.)
I have a deodorant that I bought free-after-rebate a couple of years ago, that's labelled as 'women', but is not really a feminine smell, rather citrussy and woody. Husband swears it's not masculine, either, and he will not wear it. It's not unpleasant, but I wouldn't wear it to work or anywhere where I'd be in close vicinity to people and where I'd be likely to sweat. So, I'm wearing it now, and as long as I don't sweat, I don't smell the smell. As I said, it's not unpleasant, but people may think I'm wearing husband's deodorant.
I'm also wearing down my old trousers and T-shirts.

The only thing I’d say about bars of soap is that it must be kept dry or it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria.  (The same is true for most things TBH.). There was a fascinating show on TV years ago, “The Secret Life of the Family”, where they tracked soggy-soap-grown bacteria through the house and back to the bathroom.

I use any or all bags for bin liners. We have 2 small bins in the house; 1 in the upstairs bathroom, and 1 in the downstairs loo. I use bread bags (after they've been re-used several times), crisp bags, large plastic-lined envelopes, any plastic bags clothes came in, I've stapled flower bouquet plastic shut, etc.
Larger plastic bags (shopping, small bin liners after they've been used for other purposes, banana bags, etc)

I've saved the plastic bags that things eg clothes arrive in when delivered and use them to put all sorts of things in eg waste from hoover, things to go to the bootfair, broken glass that cannot be recycled.

    Siebre,
I have soap upstairs to wash our hands with and liquid soap downstairs, where other people might use it.
I use shower gel in the shower and soap in the bath. This means that my shower gel lasts longer.
I like using soap as it only comes wrapped in paper and lasts longer. Shower gel, I refill it (buy a refill pack- which uses less plastic).

A while ago...I mean years...some thrifty person on here wrote about buying the cheapest shampoo and using it to refill soap dispensers, watering it down a bit.
I have done this ever since...buying Tesco’s value shampoo which is about 50p a litre.
(May cost more now as I tend to buy several bottles at a time and they last ages).
I bet some canny person will suggest a cheaper source of shampoo and sorry if someone has already written about this!

I think it was a user called Black Saturn. But I also remember someone saying that the Value Bath foam was cheaper but not checked prices recently

It was!  The shampoo was 50p/litre, whereas the bath foam was 40p.  However, Tesco no longer stock either of them.  About a year ago, they made a deal with Carrefour and swapped their own-brand supplier for the one that Carrefour uses.  They now sell a litre of Essentials coconut shampoo for 90p, which I think is their cheapest.  I haven't found an equivalent for the bath foam yet.  (For the last year or so, Tesco’s stock levels have been terrible.).

We’ve just decanted the dregs of our last bottle of bath foam, so I’m actively looking for a replacement.  Do Sainsbury still sell it?  (In the old days, they used the same supplier as Tesco for their own-brand and value brand equivalent.).  I will not be buying anything coconut scented - while I like eating coconut, I dislike wearing anything scented with it.
