I thought you could hang them from cupboard knobs/handles.
Unless you have cupboards without handles.
Yep, no handles. It didn't even occur to me when I first read it!

When I was reading through this thread about a months ago I read the tip about putting a drop of (watered down) washing up liquid onto the sponge and not into the bowl, and I agree - it really is amazing. I use so much less!
I thought everyone did this? (Not watered down, though).

I can’t remember if I’ve shared my next tip before.  I decant my shampoo, hair conditioner (always watered down a bit), body lotion, facial cleanser and body wash into recycled, pump-action soap dispensers.  (Mine were all Value handwash.). Even without watering down, it’s amazing how much longer things last because you’re getting a consistent dose.  For example, facial cleanser used to last 3 months; now it lasts 6.

(I use 1 pump for facial cleanser and body wash, 2 for body lotion, 3 for shampoo and 6 for hair conditioner for my long hair.)

I live in a very hard water area too.  I don't use any shampoo or conditioner, just water.  You have to behave as though you're washing and rinsing - good scrubbing of your hair and scalp with fingertips.  I sometimes get a sticky patch where there is limescale build up and I use bicarbonate of soda as a wash and cider vinegar as a first rinse.  I have shoulder length, fine, thinning hair, which is much healthier and thicker looking than it's ever been.

I've only just started reading this thread so I don't know if this one has been mentioned.  We used to have a problem with the toilet blocking if too much loo roll was used.  I learnt that if you press it so that it's oval instead of round then children, who are likely to just spin the roll, use much less toilet paper.  I always used to water down cordial as well as they poured half a glass no matter what.
