If I have matching tights with ladders in only one leg then I cut off the whole leg (use as suggested on page one/two) and wear 2 half pairs.this also helps act like a tummy smoother too as you have 2 lots of material over your your belly.
I use any old lipsticks/glosses i don't like as a moisturising treatment at night.simply apply a thick laver before bed.
Any old bits of veg or random small amounts leftover from other cooking sessions get diced up and chucked in the freezer in a carrier bag to be used in soups or stocks.I just keep adding to the bag til i have enough to be useful for something.i also freeze herb stalks as these have plenty of flavour too.:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p

You can make covered buttons by buying them cheaply [they need to have a shaft at the back] and then cutting out a circle of fabric which is larger. Run a series of small stitches around it and then pull it in at the back and finish off the thread to secure it.

What a fantastic thread....some great tips
I made a trendy cushion cover for my daughters chair in her bedroom using an old animal printed blouse that was big for me.LEANNE:hello: XXX0 -
Can't claim credit for this one as it's my sister's idea - her three year old brings home dozens of bright paintings on coloured paper from nursery which she then recycles as 'handmade designer wrapping paper'. Her daughter loves seeing her creations go to friends and family, saves loads of money on wrapping paper and solves the eternal problem of what to do with all those masterpieces!!1

If you like really buttery toast, leave it to cool by either leaving it in the toaster, grill pan, or stand 2 pieces up against each other like a tent until cold.
This way it stays really crispy and you only need about 1/3 of the butter that you would use if the toast was hot when buttered. (If you leave it lying flat on a plate to cool it will go leathery).
Great for the purse strings AND the waistline!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

That's exactly what I do as I find that buttering hot toast makes it go soggy and I like my toast nice and crisp!0 -
That's why toast always tastes great in a hotel. They put it in a toast rack, and you butter it yourself when it's cold.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Just wanted to say a big thank you for this..... I absolutely love toast and adore butter..... I live on the stuff. I am also trying to cut down on using butter ( for health and money reasons :rotfl:)
So this tip has arrived just in time. Cannot believe that I have never come across this before

Here's my tip.
Instead of buying large plant pots, this year I have bought builders' buckets at £1 each to plant my courgettes in. I have drilled holes in the bottom of the buckets. Much cheaper than plant pots and just as effective!
ETA Doh! The buckets were from Asda.Aspire not to have more but to be more.
