Thanks for that smileyt, I've done much the same and painted them with some dark and light blue shed paints I had left over so they tie in with the colour theme of my garden. They're also easier to move around as they have handles0

I try to walk to town, but if I have to take the car, I wait until after 4pm and risk not paying.
It annoys me that only two towns in the county have pay car parks and I could go to an out 0f town place for free. If these retailers want our custom, they should persuade the council to remove parking charges.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

If I'm peeling vegetables (and the peel is clean) I save it up and use it to make soup. Simply bung it all into a pan and add boiling water and a squirt of tomato ketchup (don't ask me why it just works) and cook it until its really soft and either liquidise it or mash it and serve.
I use 2 tins of baked beans/plum tomoatoes instead of weights
A toiletbrush will stop you using too much toilet cleaner.
I have really long hair and found if I lather my hair up once it uses about 30-35ml of shampoo, but if I pour out a tiny amount (i.e. 10ml) and lather it up with that and rinse then lather again with same amount my hair is nice and clean and I've used less shampoo (I know this sounds REALLY sad but I used to go through LOTS of shampoo)

I always wonder if soup would be good with the peelings.
Instead of toilet cleaner why not use vinegar in a spray bottle?:)Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

use with a toilet brush to make it even more economical. I never thought of using vinegar to clean the loo, even though I use it for everything else!

oooo lots of tips!
Mine is that I shower in the evening then let my hair dry naturally (while for instance browsing the MSE forum or watching TV) - I keep brushing it so it dries straight. Saves electricity on both the hairdryer and straighteners, and also nicer for my hair
oh! on the carpet stains and rent deposits - carpet stains are "normal wear and tear" so unless it's anything drastic your landlord shouldn't deduct anything from your deposit.Wins: CD...

Get rid of sky tv! best thing i did, stops kids glued to the telly all day but to compensate we have a dvd night once a month (the kids get to choose their own dvd's, usually less than a fiver at asda) and have a good old munch on the living room carpet as treat on its own as eating is not allowed in the living room.
got the kids a telly each off of freecycle for their rooms but all they can do is watch dvds and video's on them, video's are 20p a pop at most car boots.
Hi Lauren,
had a good old giggle at you letting the kids have a good old munch on the living room carpet as a treat:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
surely you could splash out on some popcorn:o

I accidentally discovered ( because I wanted to look posh and there was some left)
that slices of lime and/or lemon can be left in a jug and the water just topped up.
It tastes lovely and may encourage kids to drink more water, rather than pop.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
