Not a great tip but Poundland sell 2 750ml milk for £1. Although this is a bit more expensive per ml, it gives me the chance to freeze one.

However, I will soon be looking at getting a couple of empty glass bottles to stick in the freezer! Anybody done this? Or perhaps can reccommend how I can get free/cheap glass bottles suitable for freezing milk in?

You can also buy white paint cheaper than some colours. Use tester pots to add colour to it. This is a good cheaper way of brightening up a room.

I have a better one than this. Buy a large tub of white emulsion on offer, get enough, you only get one go at mixing it up. Next get a box of acrylic paints or buy just one tube. I have some of these anyway in the house, but you can get them cheap from shops like The Works. I am talking artist acrylic paints. So if you want pale blue, buy artists acrylic dark blue. Add a little and stir, if not dark enough, add more. If you want magnolia, add a little bit of yellow and stir, a little goes a long way.

I used to work for one of the other broadband suppliers and no switching your router off at the wall is not detected as a fault. Its up to you how you run it. We're with BT and I've never noticed a drop in speed (I do regular speed tests on the line and had to for comparison for former work to compare it to others within my area on different providers).

I find if I switch outs off at the wall its a pain to get it started again. It might be the modem/router needs replacing, but it doesnt come on straight away.

Please don't try putting glass bottles in the freezer. Years ago we had one explode in our freezer - think it had held low alcohol lager - and the resulting mess took ages to clear, not to mention the worry of fragments of glass sticking to food. Liquid expands when it freezes and moves to a solid state.
If you are old enough, you will remember milk bottles freezing on the doorstep in winter and the foil bottle tops being lifted off by a plug of frozen milk expanding out of the bottle. Those bottles didn't explode as the pressure from within the bottle was enough to lift or break the cap.

WASHBALLS! Where do you buy these? I sat here last night with my torso burning like I'd been grilled due to detergent allergies. I'd love to try these :D

    I bought mine from Damart.

I find the best way to clean sparkly jewellery is warm water with a drop of ammonia then rinse. It makes any jewellery shine.

Another brilliant and cheap jewellery cleaner is toothpaste! Particularly useful if you forgot to clean your rings etc. before you went on holiday.

Thanks for the tip! I shan't do this then! I am 21 and have never had milk delivered.

I only have a small draw in the freezer so it's easier for me just to buy one and always have the right amount of space. I am getting my own flat soon when I start my grad job (which I am very lucky to have already been offered) so can take more advantage of reductions etc... for now though the 2 for £1 keeps me going as I only use it for my porridge/the odd cappuccino from my espresso machine

Another useful way to freeze milk is in ice-cube trays, so that if you just want a bit of milk for a coffee, you don't have to defrost the whole bottle/carton.

This was lifted from Pinterest and posted on the No More Buying Toiletries Thread.
The quantities for hair shampoo and conditioner are correct if you wash your hair in a bathroom basin, (my post about that was quoted earlier) but you'll possibly want a bit more in the shower, as product tends to be washed straight off.
I am not a small person so need more body cream and sun cream than stated. More like a strawberry than a grape per body part.
