    didn't last long yes i managed to knit a square then i kept messing up :( giving up for tonight now, going next door for a bbq and i'll have another go in the morning

    Just had ice cream with next door, now OH is home so we are going to try to use the borrowed hedge trimmer and mow the lawn.

    Evening all

    Buns it sounds like you're having a fab time.

    Been gardening and cooking all afternoon.....just having a 10 mins sit with a glass of wine before finishing off supper for DH and I - pork steaks in a creamy peppercorn sauce, roasted baby new pots and parsnips and some green beans and baby corn cobs.....yums.

    Going to have a BBQ tomorrow as it's supposed to be lovely again - will have to go and buy a BBQ first tho :rotfl:

    Well I am exhausted! The little ones woke up at 5.45am. We have been out and about - walked everywhere as it turns out one of the seat belts in my daughters car doesn't work, so couldn't take them in the car. We had a lovely picnic and ice cream.

    Their Dad has phoned to say they will be home at 9.30pm - to be honest I was expecting to be in bed by then!

    Was a mean Great-Aunt though - totally forgot how young they are and put on Doctor Who, had two of them in tears within a few minutes due to the scary faces, so had to switch it off!

    would give my eye teeth for a rum & raisin ice cream............

    (or even a calorie controlled version which means chucking out the ice cream and the raisins and just having the rum......;) :rotfl: )

    Mine was a 99 from the van that saw we had kids in the garden so turned on it's tunes.

    Lawn mowed, hedge trimmed and started on trimming the pampas grass of doom.
