Buffy...maybe say that you recognise that her's is really good quality, but that right now you are just being a bit careful with your pennies and have seen one quite a bit cheaper which will do the same thing.
BTW...if you both bought the same runs years ago for £60, why is she charging you £70 now?
Mine is a bit smaller, hers cost 100 quid new, although it will cost me 70 quid including postage.Erm....someone's little green light is still on
I know I know, I am trying to leave.........its not working!
really almost leaving this time xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Pooky - would love to, but they are at their Dad's at the moment. Will keep it in mind for next time though
Right....need to get up and on with things, otherwise I'll languish here till it's time to leave.
Will post before I go........YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Buffy - enjoy your day
Suzy - fingers crossed for you. Have a fab time.
I just had to hoover inside the curtains and all over the front window as last night I opened the front curtains to a repeat of last week's baby spider farm
I was brave and decided to leave them to this morning so have been hopping around with the hoover. I think it is worse in the front room as it is hard to hoover them off the curtains as they are full of folds. I doubt I have got them all so will have to wait for them to climb back onto the window frame.
We have car parts in the kitchen and in the front room - co-incidence? I think not.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -

Hi everyone,
Sun's shining here - think I'll even have to put sun screen on!! I'm off to the Book Club. First time I've been (think it's about 25 years since I reviewed a book) so hope they will let me listen rather than talk.
Off to a pub this afternoon that has won an award. Tomorrow I will be running, gardening and generally treating my body like a temple :rotfl:
Buffy there is no shame in simply saying you are watching your pennies and are going to buy one from Ebay. Better than doing what a friend did to me, not saying anything - that feels quite hurtful!

Morning.
Suzy, so glad you're finally getting to go, have a great time.
Buffy, I've no idea, I'm not tactful enough to give advice on that!
Butti, I've been in a few book clubs and they're all different, for instance my current two one is really informal, doesn't matter if you've read the book, end up chatting about allsorts, the other is really formal, everyone has to take a turn and talk about the book. Either way though they wouldn't expect newbies to go first, just say what you liked/didn't like about the book and anything you thought was interesting about the storyline. Which book is it?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Mooooooorning!
suzy, enjoy! I know you will!
