  • Suzy! Have a wonderful wonderful time my lovely friend! so SO glad you are finally off!! xxxxx

And hello DarkKnight welcome to Weekend chat!

Today folks I have a very busy day which might work or might not.

    - in town for a make up practice for my friend's wedding hopefully lunch out and then back here to get ready for dinner out tonight (in a slightly rough part of town thought we'd try something different!)

Tomorrow will be gardening, mail sorting and marking.

Hope all is well with everyone, enjoy the sunshine if you have it xxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Can I join the chat please :D
I've to drop the boys @ football training, take books back to the library, then I may head in to town to see if I can buy a sewing machine.
Day is promising to be a hot one!
    Enjoy everyone ;)

    Thanks Buffy....still can't believe it myself :)

Sounds as though you have a lovely day planned....make up, lunch and dinner out. Exciting stuff.

Need to do some gardening too before I go. In real life that is, not just on FV!!

    Morning all

Busyish weekend for me...just B and I so will be relatively quiet. Lovely evening with MM last night ;) Won't get to see him until Monday now as he has his children tonight and then mountains of paperwork to sort on Sunday (sounds like my idea of hell but he wants to get his divorce and house sorted :) )

  • Yes, Suzy when you put it like that it does sound good, but in reality I am little worried about being on time! eeek! really should move off the bed..........

Quick dilemma - I was going to buy the Guinea pigs a run (from a friend, second hand) it will link onto my one and give the girls lots of space but she is charging me £70, on Ebay something similar (and new) cost 25.99 plus 9 quid postage - I didn't look before I said I'd have hers and I don't think the e bay one is as good quaility but I could still stick them together as it is the same size as mine height etc and the connectors are the same too.

Obviously I am not going to get it now but how do I explain? I don't think she is trying to rip me off (we both bought the same runs years a go from a v expensive bloke who custom made sizes which is why I think she is now charging so much cos at the time mine was about 60 quid I think....pre MSE obviously)

We have been talking about me taking it for a while, she is really nice and now I feel a bit akward.

Best seriously get a move now, going to be late other wise

    xxxx

Buffy...maybe say that you recognise that her's is really good quality, but that right now you are just being a bit careful with your pennies and have seen one quite a bit cheaper which will do the same thing.

BTW...if you both bought the same runs years ago for £60, why is she charging you £70 now?

Buffy - I'd just tell her you've found a cheaper version and that as you're saving for Flordia you'd be daft not to snap up such a bargin. I'm sure she'll understand.

Suzy - :j I'd say "sod it" to the gardening if I were you - get one of the kids to do it instead :D

Sal - Glad you had a nice evening...enjoy your weekend.

I've got a day of gadening planned, had a lovely lie in though so still nursing a cup of tea, best get my bum into gear and get dressed.

Had a very welcome interim payment from DH's insurance yesterday so have contacted the benevolant fund to withdraw our application for help...:T
