  • Hi Jo,

I'll join in your challenge please.

I seem to be spending my week off work sitting around and worrying which is just not good!

    Wise words Graeme :)

However, I feel that after my God - awful 'Work Focused Interview' at 3pm today, I'm probably going to feel like a drink! :-/

    Cheers,

    Sim.

You probably will feel like one, and the great thing is that the desire to drink will go after a time. That feeling will not last forever. At least you're aware of it.
Take action now to make sure you don't pick up a drink today.

'Don't volunteer to be a victim' is one of the best things I heard in recovery - life doesn't go as I want it to, but then I can make the choice whether to be down about it, or get on with my life and be happy.

Pleeese don't have a drink after the interview. Plan somethng else even if it's just a long walk to calm down. And don't walk past bars!

I'm up for it jo, probably my last of July.

Jo, be ever so careful using the work computer. Only yesterday a woman lost an employment tribunal case for unlawful dismissal because she'd been doing personal stuff in work time. Can't remember detail exactly but she worked at a famous golf club. YM and Lurky would know. Where is YM by the way, anyone seen him??

    Good luck with new diary.

    Love this philosophy Graeme! Thanks.

It's a case of, just because I have a craving, doesn't mean I have to act upon it, eh? I'm going to see if my Girlfriend is up for a brisk walk up a hill, straight afterwards

Blimey, I've been sorting paperwork / jobhunting online since I was up at 7am, and I'm still sat in my dressing gown!

About to jump in shower now, and will then be leaving at about 1 - 1.30, for my 2pm appointment (thought it was 3, but luckily I checked earlier, and it's 2!)

My Girlfriend has kindly offered to help with a lift up there, and she's over at 1pm, so I'd better hurry up :j

    Have a good afternoon guys,

    Cheers,
