Any takers? Can't log on when I get to work properly, only on the phone as don't want to leave traces of this thread on my work PC

Just spent the last half hour pouring out my life onto a new thread I'm about to post.....I am hoping that today will see a new path to a better life...DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Good Morning all
Jo
Be careful using work's PC, and have a good day!
I'm off to another God - awful 'Work Focused Interview' at 3pm, with a 'County Training' / Jobcentreplus advisor..
The same advisor who 3 weeks ago, told me that "the last thing I need to be doing right now, is working" and that I could "maybe in a year, go back to work, but that at the moment [I'm] a bit mentally hazy"! :-/
So, I'm seeing a Woman, who's job is apparently to "help me overcome any barriers, preventing me from returning to work" and yet - well, why do I attend these things?! *sigh*
Cheers,

Lurks, it's not as simple as that.....all access to practically everything you can click is disabled, due to it being a 'security issue' :undecided
Sim, it's just a rant about my life and it not going anywhere....just day to day stuff :cool:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Jo - your comment to Lurks - I was wondering if that might be the case. Please be careful!
OK, re your 'rant about life'! Are you ok?

Having a really crap time of late, most of this is due to having a drinking problem that makes everything feel worse. I think I'll abandon all work today and spend the day creating a new diary on here to get motivation and rant rant rant, I'm hoping to get some good advice over the next few days and so I need to get my head into gear, visit CAB and the council and various other places to get my life on the right track.
When I was drinking, booze DID make things worse, as well as make them appear to be worse!!
A doubled edged sword was alcohol in me
When I put down the bottle I got relief from some of the symptoms of alcoholism - I was no longer late for work, I no longer wet the bed, I no longer woke up sweaty in the night, I no longer had hangovers, I was no longer throwing up in the daytime, etc
So I did feel better (physically)
However, it was when I changed myself (rather than just my drinking) that I started to feel much better inside. The change inside means that for today I do not even want to drink.
That to me is recovery
I was great at stopping drinking - I could not stay stopped until I made changes to myself.
It is up to the individual to make the decision to change. The responsibility for sobriety is up to each and every one of us.
For the sake of me and my family, for today, I have now taken that responsibility.0
