I'm meant to be listening in on an incredibly boring conference call but I have decided to listen to John Coltrane instead and every so often, I switch back to the phone call and say something non commital like 'That definitely needs looking into'.
:rotfl::rotfl:
Shocking BP
I must mention this idea to my manager who hates conference calls......

I quite rudely refer to them as 'c-word'ference calls.
if you know what I mean.jusqu'ici tout va bien0 -

Good Morning guys and girls.
Just popping on to say hi, and that I hope you all have a great day
Over the last few days, I've been doing the opposite, to what my mind wants me to do (forcing myself out, when I want to hide away in my flat, away from everyone), and while scary, it's empowering and positive.
I'm still full of fear, as it's been a while I've been sober for this long (25 days), but I do feel quite proud of myself, for doing it.
I even had a craving for a drink, yesterday, when walking to the Docs at 9am.. The good thing, is that I didn't act upon it!
Yesterday, I was up at about 6am, and saw my GP at 9am, for a good chat.
We discussed, my going back to work, and I'm going to look into the 'permitted work' situation - p/t with a view to eventually, getting back into f/t.
I called CCCS four (!) times, and they were great.
Have now sorted out an online budget, with their 'debt remedy' tool, on their site, and am eligible to go for a DRO through them.
The CAB (who I'd previously gone to), have still not got my forms posted out, even though I was promised them 10 days ago!
So, I've bitten the bullet, and gone with someone else.
I'm also applying to my Water Board trust fund, to see if they'll help clear my priority debts - Water / Electric / Council Tax arrears.
If they do, and I'm lucky enough to be accepted (am crossing everything), I probably won't go (as will have shown preference anyway) for a DRO, and will instead, then just have my unsecured creditors left.
These creditors, I will then deal with by sending off a CCA request to each, and every one of them, and then offering token payments, until I'm back on my feet.
My plan is in place, and it feels scary, but good!
As I'm still in my dressing gown, and it's approaching 11, I'm going to jump in the shower, get dressed, and chuck the rubbish out.
Then, I'm calling CCCS (Bankruptcy / DRO Team) back (they've emailed me a client ref number), to go through the DRO application over the phone.
After that, I'm off to the library, to print off the Severn Trent Trust Fund application form. Will pick up a sarnie, and then come back home, and fill out the form to post off.
I feel completely overwhelmed, but I'm determined to keep going
Cheers,

Good on ya Sim for pushing yourself to do the things you don't want to do.
Every time you do so you will get a bit stronger, practice makes perfect so keep it up!:)
As for your finances, it's all getting very complicated to me, good luck with all that!

Good on ya....25 days AF!!!!! I've managed 2 so far..(!)...but my target of 15 days AF is still within reach!
I actually got a cash award from one of the water companies....it went toward the BR fee (that was what they offered the cash for). be aware that if any of the utility companies offer you money it won't be the full ammount-& most take a month to do.
Sim...I quote from your last post 'I'm also applying to my Water Board trust fund, to see if they'll help clear my priority debts - Water / Electric / Council Tax arrears.
If they do, and I'm lucky enough to be accepted (am crossing everything), I probably won't go (as will have shown preference anyway) for a DRO, and will instead, then just have my unsecured creditors left.

Firstly-you won't have shown preference as it's not YOU paying it but the utility provider themselves! The other creditors will cause you nothing but stress & grief-letters/phone calls/possible home visits...etc...they certainly won't just let you pay what you want until 'you're back on your feet'. Put bluntly....you owe THEM so why should they give you all the time you need? All that will happen is the debt will get sold on & on to different collection agencies & could take YEARS to pay off...
Why are you asking for CCA requests? Look on the web & on this site-if you think you'll be able to not pay them back if they can't produce a CCA signed agreement you're going to be dissapointed. it's a long hard slog through the legal system to do this-producing MORE stress!!!
You've done the right thing going to CCCS-they're FAB -I guess the CAB as its run by volunteers is snowed under.
Sim-you've done SO WELL to get this far with all aspects of your life....I'd go for the DRO asap! It's like a line in the sand...once it's done IT'S DONE. If you go down the 'token payment' & CCA route it'll take YEARS & be a lot of stress.
Did your G/F pay off the moneyshop??? Don't worry....not going to lecture you (!!) just being nosy...won't comment on it at all!
If ever you need to talk about this feel free to PM me-I can always give you a bell....sometimes a voice is better than a forum!
Take care mate-it's all going the right way!
Sim-I see that you are phoning the insolvency people re:preference....why not double check this with Simon as well?? It would be a real shame if you could not do the DRO cos of this-also mention to him about the potential 'warrent of entry' (& explain its not your front door!)...do let me know what occurs! Chin up m8!0
