Hi Sim

• click on User Tools at the top of the page to get into your control panel
• click on Edit Options on the list on the left hand side under Settings & Options
• scroll down to Visible Post Elements & select Enable Avatars (or it might say View Avatars, I've forgotten!)

Mine has disappeared again *confused*
