  • I was looking at going back to the homeless charity today, to get back into the voluntary work.

However, I don't feel ready yet, as I don't think the environment would do me good, as I don't feel 'out of the woods' yet!

I was sober for about five months before taking on my voluntary role.
At times it can be extremely stressfull and if I did not have a support network in place it could have easily driven me back to the drink.

    Baby steps.

I had a bit of a blip at the weekend but I'm still going to the counselling and it is going okay thanks. :)

Hope you are okay Budgie and everyone else.:A

No more AF days yet. I did only drink 1/4 of a bottle of vodka yesterday which isn't that much for me as sometimes I can easily drink 2 bottles of wine or more.:o

    Hello!

I have to say that if I didn't do running I would have had relapse today. DD was completely impossible this morning and with all the roadworks in the morning and more in the evening to negotiate I was so close to getting some chemical help. However after the difficult morning I decided not to have any particular type of running session to work and just went for it. It was the fastest run from P&R to office todate. And as felt good after work instead of doing my normal dog walking it was cross country dog run (well - mostly as the hills did slow me down :o)

So feeling tired in a really good way, now just need to go and raid the cupboards as I am starving!!! :p

That is 21 please Miss P.

Oooh and it is telly heaven for me - Wimbledon until 9 and then Queen of Shops...

    Hiya guys.

Hope you all had a great Monday!

SSG - Congrats on 8 Alcohol Free days :)

    Feeling good here.

Went through all the debt figures with National Debtline, Monday evening, and have decided to go for a Debt Relief Order. Yikes..

Feel pretty down about the whole financial mess, and still feel immense guilt / embarassment about the money I've wasted :-/

Been sober 10 days though, which feels great :)

    Night night all,

    Sim x

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
