Ermmmmm......yes :undecided, it's okay though, that phase only lasts for about 4 years.....maybe 6 *rolleyes*

    Good luck today Marru :)

Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday, it was awful :( I've not seen her for 3 years and she looked so different, from somebody that was full of life and a sparkle in the eye to someone that was lifeless. She sat with a dalmation puppy soft toy on her lap and insisted it was a real cat that had just walked in. She was a different person. I tried to make my Godfather understand that it's just like getting a short term memory, there isn't anything physically wrong with her. I've persuaded him (hopefully) to talk to the practice nurse when they go to the surgery this week, as she refuses to go to a doctor or get help.

Anyway, although it was sad, she was in her own little world, I think I'd prepped my mum for a lot worse so she wasn't so bad when we left. Although she's not one to show her emotions so I don't know what she was like when I dropped her off and she was by herself.

Busy day ahead, not really looking forward to it, I'm under an alcohol haze and don't feel up to doing anything much. I need to get back on the wagon.

Oh !!!!!!, look at the time  I'm late, must dash :p

    xx

    Morning Jo

Sorry to hear about yesterday and your concerns about your mum. Hopefully your Godmother will get some proper support soon.

Good luck today i know it's !!!!!! dealing with everything under that alcohol haze, but you will get through it

Take care and hugs to you XXX

  • Good! :j

I'm taking my own advice and trying to think about the 12 days i did have AF! I know i did "wrong" but, really, kcking myself in the arris all day every day for one slip when i've done so well isn't going to achieve much other than to make me fall over!

    But..man...grrr.....silly moo me.....

    Morning TP1

Really- don't beat yourself up as you have done so well anyway. At the end of the day you had a drink along with many other people, and (hopefully) enjoyed it. :)

Thanks for all the nice posts you left when i was in my little bender last week, i am not proud of what happened but onwards and upwards no? I am not thinking i am an alcoholic or anything like that although it appears i have a problem, am on the wagon for now but definately not saying never again to drinking! But maybe for now....

    Have a great day XX

Many thanks for your kind words eselt. My self help book is Living Sober.

On the f word theme I was in Ibiza for one of the tournaments (can't remember which year) and spent my time going from bar to bar to watch the TV. Totally out of it 24/7 and really can't remember much about it.

    Morning !

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I certainly did. I went to London on thursday to see a gig which was great fun, then on saturday there was a mini festival near where I live which always marks the start of summer, the weather certainly did it justice!

I was a little embarassed when a very pretty girl came over to where I was sat and hugged me, I hadn't a clue who she was. It turned out it was someone I'd had a 2 hour conversation with a few months ago at a pub, I must have been hammered. Still, she didn't seem to mind my amnesia and we spent quite a lot of time together during the day and have arranged to meet again next weekend which could be nice.

I took loads of photos at the festival and then to my horror, woke up the next day and couldn't find my backpack with my camera in it. I was worried I might have left it at the pub we watched the football in but thankfully I'd left it at a friend's house later so I can go and pick it up today and get the pictures developed and printed.

I'm absolutely loving the world cup but it is hard to resist the urge to have a beer or two when the games are on, it's almost an automatic accompaniment. I'm going to my sister's house to watch the Italy game tonight and I'm going to stay AF and I hope my sister does too.

  • BP glad you had a good time sounds like you have PULLED woo hoo!

Good for you remaining AF enjoy being at your sisters tonight.

Personally my computer has gone on to a go slow taking ages to change pages etc so i am off out to the shops, just the supermarket but it's still shopping:rotfl:

Back to work tomorrow early shift so probably AF myself tonight,

Hope everyone has a great day!! xxx

:j:j:T That sounds like something really lovely to look forward to!

Well, if you have managed to stay sober during the competition then I am awarding you a medal for performing above and beyond the call of duty! I think it''s awesome that you and your sister have been honest with each other and are therefore able to provide support at such a difficult time. Well done both of you! :T :T

um, I don't think I'm deserving of the medal just yet. Tonight will be my first AF day of the world cup.

    thanks anyway though!

    Hello,

Have just skimmed through posts since yesterday so still don't know what has been going on.

Thank you for all the lovely wishes. It wasn't too bad, I just hope that I wrote enough and did't get my calculations all messed up. Didn't manage to reconcile my variances but hopefully managed to scrape some points from them.

Really really tired now. Need to go and do my dog walking shift so back later but might be early night for me. Byeee.....

    Hi all

Well done Marru- sounds like you weren't phased at all, always a good sign (will not even pretend to suggest that I have any idea about variances etc. but I'm sure you do and thats what counts!)

BP- sounds like a productive weekend?! Less claustraphobic than of late for you. I had a non-drinking friend round to watch the football and they left a couple of bottles of their non-alcoholic beer behind-it was Becks blue label, and chilled, tasted quite nice, although I avoid alcohol substitutes as they trigger my taste for the real stuff, but a couple during the football shouldn't hurt?

Sim- so sorry you have worries at the moment, try the CCCS, they might be able to negotiate with your creditor? Its worth a go, although you might get stung by high interest rates. Have you spent the £500? If not perhaps you could offer what you have left as an initial payment? Hope things start to look up for you, you've had a rough time recently.

Jo- hugs to you, you must be very shocked and distressed to see your godmothers deterioration, hope your mum is OK and coming to terms with it too.

Best of luck to everyone this week.
