    Happy Birthday Fay!

Hope you and everyone has had a great day.

MookiePook - Many Thanks. Good Luck with it yourself :-)

Marru - Sober still today, so a fourth star would be most appreciated.

One week sober, as of tomorrow :-D

Feeling a lot more clear headed, thanks to keeping away from the booze.

Ebay parcel has made it through Canadian Customs, thank goodness..It's with their postal service now, so hopefully it should be arriving with my buyer by the weekend. PayPal will then release my £140 :-)

I've started to go through my bills / debts paperwork this evening, and I'm feeling very overwhelmed :-/

I need to stick a SOA up on the MSE Debt boards, to start making headway with a budget - any pointers regarding where to find this please?

Also, anyone know where those 'template letters to creditors' are?

    Cheers,

    Sim x

    Cheers Marru!

Re National Debtline, thanks for the link.

However, I've already called them, and have a Nat debtline pack.

Was just looking for a budget I could post on the MSE board really, as well as the creditor's letters templates.

    Cheers x

I've just achieved AFD 2 - its probably the longest period I've gone without a drink for a good few years and I feel so much better for it. Headache has now gone, I've chilled out tonight and feel ready for another good nights sleep. Perhaps I can try for a few more ...

    Night everyone x
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

    Hiya Guys,

    Been up all night :-/

I was determined to stay up, and sort my budget out, and get everything down on paper (CAB form) ready for my CAB appointment in 10 days time..

    I've done it!

As my body clock was back to being all over the shop, I'm now going to try and stay up, even though I'm shattered, otherwise I won't sleep tonight again.

Have just worked out, I owe just under £25,000 (including £14k of Student Loans and £2,370 Housing Benefit Overpayments).

Seeing this written down, is both terrifying / depressing (knowing full well, that 99% of my debt is due to my depression and anxiety issues, as well as my alcoholism) and strangely a relief - ie - to actually know the facts.

I really don't know what to do.

Whether to start writing to the DCA's (a few of them phone me daily) or to wait until my CAB appointment, on the 12th of May.

I think I'll bite the bullet, and start writing to them today - Friday evening.

One of my debts (O2 mobile) is with 'Wescot DCA' and they have been sending letters to my old (as of 2 years ago) address - my Father's address. As my Dad and I are not talking at the moment, I can really do without this, so my priority, will be to write to them first, asking them to write to *my address*.

Annoyingly, I don't have a printer, and I think my letters to my Creditors, would look more professional / organised, printed rather than hand - written.

I'm in debt, up to my eyeballs, and I have no job - my only income at the moment, is ESA = £128.60 a fortnight.

The positive side of this, is that I am sober, and have been sober for a week now :-)

The debts, I am tackling too :-))

    Blimey, I am shattered.

    Have a good day everyone,

    Sim x
