Evening all

Well my energy ran out!:rotfl:Now feeling shattered and looking forward to bed. My whole head seems to be aching!:(

OH just putting Piglet to bed and then we are having dinner - chicken pasanda and rice - and then I'm dragging my weary feet up the stairs.

Just want to echo what the others have said BP, that you sound a decent person and please don't ever worry about talking about varied subjects on here.

I dont do drama (honest) but over the last few days I have met my future self & it scares me witless.

On Friday, as part of my job, I met a woman who has had a drink problem for over 20 years. I thought you poor thing as she shook &stammered and slurred so badly that I wondered what on earth it must have been like before she stopped drinking 5 years ago.
Her tremors were so bad that when she made me a cup of tea 1/2 had been split before she handed it to me.


Yesterday on the way back from Sainsbugs with another couple of bottles of wine in my bag, there was a man walking (or should I say staggering) in front of me, who clearly had 1 over the 8. He was disheveled & stunk of wee. Every one else was trying to keep a wide birth!!! All I could think of was the times I have staggered out of a pub (hopefully not stinking of wee:o)

Today when waiting for the bus to work there was this woman on the other side of the road who looked as though she had the weight of the world on her shoulders, not taking care of her self. The woman I met on Friday came to mind. Every time I looked at her she looked at me... in my defensive response I thought if she are not careful she too will end up not being able to carry a cup of tea........Then you guessed it I realised I was looking at my own reflection:eek::eek::eek:

I dont want to sound self indulgent but a mixture of these experiences and being a bit of a lurker to this thread has made me think. I have kept my thoughts to myself but may be I have to put it out there in order to stop thinking and start DOING. Changing my future....

Sorry to whitter on like this but I feel I have to bit the bullet.
