Morning all.................(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one, especially Ladygrim.

We had a lot of rain overnight, the puddle at the road edge is back again, it had almost dried up.

We are not due the sunny weather today, its very dull and grey just now.

Trip to the library to change our books.

OH wants to cut the grass at some point today so he can treat the lawn and kill all the moss. I was sweeping some compost off it and a huge piece of moss came off and left a bare patch.

It was so cold here last night I put a match to the fire.......I am switching the central heating off at the end of this month come what may. I think our neighbours must drink the stuff or else have the heating on very high, they had another delivery yesterday. Our tank is still more than half full.

We have visitors coming up next month DD1 and SIL are coming for a few days, once they have gone I am on a very strict budget......we have to pay the solicitors for our wills and there are a couple of other things in the pipeline. I have a freezer full of veg and fruit from last year which needs using up, so menus are going to have to be carefully planned from now on.

I have taken a piece of shoulder pork out for supper tomorrow, I will slice it, actually I may well cook it today and slice it cold then I can re-heat the meat for tomorrow and freeze the rest in portions.

I have a feeling that my oven is not working as it should, I baked some crumbed fish last night and after half an hour it was still raw in the middle. I have also noticed that when I roast potato's I have to turn the tin round to get them to brown both sides of the tin. I will have to resoprt to using the combi micro, I am not going to put a nre oven in and I know the landlord will not do it. He told us if we wanted a new oven and hob we had to put it in and he would make an allowence when we leave....sorry no way ......

ooohhh I see a little yellow thing in the sky, maybe the forecast was wrong????

    Morning All,

:bdaycake::bdaycake:Two cakes for JC just 'cos I can! Happy Birthday love, enjoy your Chinese meal!

Diva hope you're well and sleeping OK.

Ladygrim hugs to give you the strength to get through the coming days.

SunnyGirl :dance: congrats on the job, great news!

Emptypockets hugs for your wee doggy.

Taplady hope you find it soon.

Zippychick I like the tablemat, could you not try big needles, and see if that makes a difference? Go for the holiday, you need something to look forward too, get that picture up on your fridge ;). Be a good girl tonight, you minx!:beer:

Well, I am back, felt as if my right arm had been amputated there as I couldn't sign back in either, I resorted to trying to say I'd lost my password and that never worked either, but finally I got in. Surfing last night was not as much fun, there was something going on I wanted to get involved in and I couldn't!:rotfl::rotfl:

I have hurt my back, and am in a lot of pain this morning. DS2 has a football tournament and it was a struggle getting dressed, which meant they were late leaving, and I couldn't go. OH should be back for me shortly. They were joint winners last year, so hope they do well again. As long as he has fun though, but their wee faces last year were a picture!

Just put soup on for lunch, we are eating a lot of soup just now, and will throw a sponge in the oven (hopefully a celebration cake) for dessert. OH got in at five this morning, and was up at nine for the game, so he will be putting his head down for a few hours or else he'll turn into Mr Grumpy. DS1 is about to vacuum, and wash the dishes, so best get off and supervise!

Love to all, hugs over here going free!

Well I didn't go back to bed, instead I unloaded & loaded DW, did a load of washing & put it on the line & started 2nd load, I've cleaned 3 loo's 3 sinks & swept the hall. I made my self an egg sarnie for brunch, took hubby a snack & a drink, found enough food in the freezer to have a BBQ, watered the plants indoors & out & now I'm going to clean the kitchen!
    Hugs Hester

    JC - Happy birthday xx
Ladygrim - my thoughts are with you xx
Neave - the dunkin ryvitas are yum - Mooloo gave me a packet from her Approved Food order and I eaten a whole packet in a couple of days.

I have been to C0stco this morning and stocked up. I have also been to JohnL in MK to return my youngest sons school shoes which gave him two huge blisters. They have refitted and replaced them but also gave me £5 for my trouble!!! Loads of washing!

Hope everyone has a happy Saturday xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Good afternoon all,

Happy Birthday JC have a lovely day x

Ladygrim - my heart goes out to you, been to my mums this morning and she said she wanted to start bagging up my dads clothes for a local homeless charity (he died in january), I went downstairs to get the boys and she was sat sobbing into his things - its too soon and I still dont know what to say to her :(

On a brighter note the washing is all on the line - the boys are having a nap :j:j and tea taken out the freezer to defrost.

Bit miffed with me and OH, we had finally managed to sort our finaces a bit, not gone overdrawn this month or used credit cards and had some cash left when checked the account on Monday. spent £15 on treats in Mr T and I dont know where the rest has gone, but we down at least £100. We will never learn - this time next month i dont want to think we have wasted it.

Enjoy the rest of saturday - its so quiet here the quietest its been since 6.30am! xx

Do take your time, its a very evocative time, there are lots of memories tied up in those things.

My friend lost her husband 5 years ago in July and she has only just been able to sort out his shirts, she has made them into a quilt. His ties are still hanging on the rail in his wardrobe.
