Works for me. Click here and then click on the link written Direct HTTP Mirror; which is just above where it is written Choose another version:.
Yes that link works thanks Donnie, but my Trend a/v has come up with this warning:

That's annoying. Will try to send an email to then in order to ask why.
Have you downloaded the new MCE 2005 disc?0 -
Also you can try one of the earlier versions, say version 9.9 to see if the problem still exists there. It won't have malwarebytes'... but may still be of use.0

Have you downloaded the new MCE 2005 disc?
I am now at home and have downloaded the zip file, Kaspersky didn't complain about it like Trend did on my office PC!
Yes I did download MCE2005 but I must be doing something wrong as my discs are not bootable. Using Roxio Creator Business and creating a data DVD. There is an option to make it bootable but I don't understand where to browse to do this bit.0 -

This is because you didn't follow my instructions.Use ImgBurn or the like to burn the image to disc
You have to choose burn image to disc. Use the disc in the last link for MCE 2005.
You'll need to un-zip and then do the same with Hiren's Boot Disc.
Double clicking on the .iso(image) may well do the trick.0 -

Hi Donnie
I have downloaded the latest image file again and saved it to my desktop. Then I fired up ImgBurn and selected the option to Write Image File To Disc. I browsed to this file and selected it, it all seemed to work fine, but when I boot the laptop up from the DVD I only get as far as a command prompt with this message:
Welcome to FreeDOS (http://www.freedos.org)!
A:\>
Can't see where I am going wrong?

Just to say that I have now finally managed to sort this laptop out! In the end I booted it up from an XP Pro CD and ran the repair utility. I had to re-enter the MS installation key from the sticker on the base of the laptop and was worried that this might be rejected as it is for an XP MCE installation, but it was accepted no problem!
Have now run Ccleaner, MBAM and Avira to clean out the nasties, installed SP 3 and about 90 important Windows updates, and it's running really quickly again now. So thank you to everyone for your help, especially Donnie for being so patient!
