I don't know what is going on with royal mail lately, i post lots of items 1st class and it gets there next day, but it can take about 5 days for 1st to be sent to me. I hope they arrive soon, be sure to check the post date on them, he may just post them tomorrow and hope you don't notice.

wow! what a rollercoaster ride reading the last 2 months of this thread has been!

i've had my usual very busy end of summer so havent been on in ages and honestly was too scared to know what had happened (yes, i'm a wimp!)

ChickyWiggle - you are a star! you've put so much effort into this, both in thought, time and emotion. i really am so thankfull to you.

(I darendt ask if the squares have arrived yet. Can I add though that if it were me expecitng something that was apparently posted but not arrived, i would be tempted to go and ask my post office in case its just sitting there coz of not enough postage but they 'forgot' to drop the note round... that's happened before to me.)

i can understand her being too busy to do the quilt for unexpected reasons, but i'm upset she couldnt be bothered to say so. she knows that a lot of people gave time and effort, and companies essentially gave up some of their profits to help this project. so to not even let us know there was a problem is just plain mean.

Bubbles, Bubble's mum and Hart44 - you are awesome! Such a shame we didnt go with you from the start! :T

To be fair this quilt started out as a thing to do with friends. Id seen some round robin things and thought that would be a lovely idea to do with the girls from the cross stitch cafe. It then didn't go fantastically well from then on, there was arguing, people feeling like others were taking over. People snapping at each other and I began to think maybe it wasn't such a great idea, but then it got under control and we were back to enjoying ourselves. We had a few stumbling blocks which were to be expected but as a group of people who seemed to get on I thought these would pass easily.
I understand this thing with Lellypants has upset people and annoyed people but can we all stop and think for a moment, especially those of us who have had mental health problems as we should have a lot more thoughts about why people do this sort of thing. Maybe she is ill and is embarrassed to say? In which case maybe she has kept thinking she could still do it and then it got so far along and she worried more and more about telling us she couldn't handle doing it it then became even harder to tell us. If she then popped on here and read the comments about her she would worry even more about admitting whats happened.
Now I know this might not be the case but what if it is? And even if not and its just that something has happened with work...isn't that more important? Who here would lose their job and put the quilt first? None I imagine?? Aren't those of us who have been ill in this way a little guilty about the way we've treated her? My goodness Im almost ashamed to be involved in this, I honestly can't believe that people that have suffered prejudice against their illnesses could be so mean without even knowing the full details, not that people without being ill should have an excuse either though.

We even threatened her with legal action, lets hope she isn't ill

Thanks for that Emzy...beautifully said. Things have got out of hand a bit lately. It's not as if we were making the quilt to a definite deadline.

still no sign of the ones that have apparently been 'posted' and fed up ringing my delivery office as they never answer the phone.

I feel so bad now. I never thought that maybe she was possibly suffering things similar to what I have been through and has been scared.
