Tvaddict...one depertment gathers all your info and then sends it off to be reviewed and they make a decision...

Got a letter from hbos..not going to pay me the ppi back...saying i filled out the application by hand, ticked the box for ppi and posted it to them!! funny that..when a member of bank staff filled it out in the branch for me!! I phoned them saying its not my writing, they said your partner filled it in then... nope not her writing either..i said in fact forget it , i dont appreciate your comments..i'm complaining to the FOS ..sooooo i phoned FOS and they said i'll put a note on your claim about the bank being fraudulent..just waiting on fos to sent me the form now... ps ,,I asked if FOS charge the bank for this..£500 a case was the reply...excellent i said

Just how do they get away with it. In cases like this where they are blatently lying they should have a hefty fine and pay compensation also to the consumer if they are found to be in the wrong. They may then answer complaints a little fairer and honest at least when its costing them more than just the PPI back.

update... the wife is claiming her ppi back from HBOS and recieved the same letter as i did , but they did not enclose agreement ..she has different reasons for claiming but they sent the same letter ...it proves that HBOS are just a complete shambles and will try anything to fob you off...i was going to phone them and ask for agreement..but no doubt that would take weeks of feeble excuses ..so why bother ..another one off to the FOS that will cost them £500 plus the ppi refund plus the interest...are they that damn stupid that they longer they delay it the more interest they pay...rant over lol :beer:
