I agree MFD - and I think he is clutching at straws by focussing on one thing and hoping that it will solve the problem. Caitlyn will go to him now, she puts her arms out for him when he comes home from work. She's never stayed for longer than about haf an hour with him, but I'm having a pedicure on Thursday night ready for my sisters wedding and I'm hoping I might be able to leave her with him for 45 mins then.

Sorry to hear about Benjamins bum - Caitlyn's had a few very sore bums where it's cracked and sore. It must be awful for them. I agree with the vaseline or bepanthen as a barrier before bedtime and see if it makes a difference.

LOL - poor Benjamin, in years to come little will he know about all his MSE Aunties and Uncles who worried over his poor little bottie!!

TBH I wouldn't worry too much about getting 'the perfect' nursery ATM. Make a few calls and go and see a few and see how she reacts to them. You may get a feel from when you visit about whether it is worth you making bigger plans or not. xx

Sorry, not sure if I explained that properly...what I mean is that she may hate a nursery more than she hates a CM...in which case you would have wasted your time looking for the perfect nursery IYSWIM.

Still doesn't sound like what I meant to say :o

3 this Fridays sling meet is outdoors, I think the 23rd is too.

Heaton Park is lovely and lot's to see and do there. It's quite easy to get to on public transport too for people that don't drive.

That park looks lovely. That'd be a great meet with :money:picnics in summer.

Thanks :) He just seems so primitive in his views sometimes.

I'm looking into maybe trying her in a nursery - the only problem is the school holidays. Most of the nurseries don't cater for over 5s or over 8s, but I wouldn't want them to be in seperate childcare, I would want them to be together. Does anyone else have this problem? Do nurseries do term time only? Because, thinking about it, if she's ok at a nursery then by the time the holidays come she would be ok at the childminders if Josh was there too I would have thought.

Our creche does a holiday club, maybe look for a nursery that does a holiday club and Josh could go there instead?
My fees are spread out over for 52 weeks but I only actually pay for 50 weeks childcare. I think its CM that tend to do Term Time rather than Nurseries.

I'm planning to take some leave in July so could maybe do a meet on the 7th or 8th. :D

Where does the time go?

8th better for me, but 7th is possible.

(7th is a Wednesday - so would mean Searchie doesn't need to mess about with work days)

Mazcabs - DS is 19 months now, we used that travel cot (we have a standard "square" one too, for granny's, etc) for the first time when he was 7 months, and he slept really well. It has a mattress that is fine for indoors, but for camping, where he was sleeping on the cold ground, I put a 3/4 length thermarest in underneath it, which fits perfectly and stopped him getting cold.

Thanks Chakani, we are staying in a static caravan so wont need to worry about a cold floor... must have a look on ebay maybe for a cheap one then
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
