PP that's awful, no wonder you put the phone down on him. I'm  on your behalf! I really don't think anyone can fully understand unless they are doing it, I've only left Isla once for an hour because I know how dependant upon me she is. Tonight will actually be the second time as I've got an opticians appt and I'm leaving her at home and quietly dreading it :o

Huge hugs to you, your doing a fantastic job feeding your little one and she could be exactly the same if she was bottle fed. Some babies just are clingy and others aren't. I'm glad your boss is being understanding though.

Thanks :) He just seems so primitive in his views sometimes.

I'm looking into maybe trying her in a nursery - the only problem is the school holidays. Most of the nurseries don't cater for over 5s or over 8s, but I wouldn't want them to be in seperate childcare, I would want them to be together. Does anyone else have this problem? Do nurseries do term time only? Because, thinking about it, if she's ok at a nursery then by the time the holidays come she would be ok at the childminders if Josh was there too I would have thought.

PP, I've missed the posts about your problem but I hope things work out soon. Grrrr at your DH!!!!

I think you would still have to pay for the nursery place even if she doesn't go. We have to but get two weeks at 50% per year for hols, etc.

Poppy is so a Daddy's girl! Always has been. She will go and give him a snuggle and give me a look that says 'Ha! Look! I've chosen my Daddy!' (I'm sure she doesn't but it feels that way!).

    Jamie is a Mummy's boy :)

I agree MFD - and I think he is clutching at straws by focussing on one thing and hoping that it will solve the problem. Caitlyn will go to him now, she puts her arms out for him when he comes home from work. She's never stayed for longer than about haf an hour with him, but I'm having a pedicure on Thursday night ready for my sisters wedding and I'm hoping I might be able to leave her with him for 45 mins then.

Sorry to hear about Benjamins bum - Caitlyn's had a few very sore bums where it's cracked and sore. It must be awful for them. I agree with the vaseline or bepanthen as a barrier before bedtime and see if it makes a difference.

Hope everyone is well (3, did you get some Contac? :)).

I didn't. Asda pharmacy was closed for lunch when I got there, so tried our little Boots, they didn't have it. Tried the little chemist yesterday and they said they haven't been able to get hold of it for a while, so she sold me something similar. I didn't read the pack, took one yesterday lunch time and it wiped me out for a couple of hours - luckily at V's nap time. :(

I hope Rhys is clapping, waving and giving the finger to the physio this afternoon! :p

sj im up for another meet ... any tuesday wednesday is good but can book a day off for any other day ...

Any except Wednesday for me, but I can do Wednesdays if I need to.

A big summer meet would be lovely too, in a nice big park with picnic?

ETA: Isn't this weeks sling meet an outdoor one? Hope it stops raining.

PP Tell your OH to P off back into his cave! :p

L's nursery was a chain one, and they had quite a few children there on term time contracts - mostly children of teachers etc. And during the school holidays, because they had extra space with the term-timers off, they offered space to older siblings as a holiday club type thing.

V's nursery was attached to the local college and had two sites. They also offered term-time places, I had one as I worked term-time only, and a lot of the students children were term-time only. During the school holidays, they put all the nursery children onto one site, and opened up the other site as a holiday club for children up to 12yo.

CSH The wheels are on the way - they collected at 11ish this morning.
