Thanks girls. I am feeling very bad right now, not really with the parents, more just feeling that everyone and everything has it in for me.
I think we all have days like that *hugs*
School uniform: ours isn't too bad. Girls can wear navy skirts or trousers in both primary and secondary school. They have the same uniform in both schools so things that fit at the end of primary can be worn in secondary school :money:
School colours ties are compulsary and have to be bought from school. For secondary school I had to buy a blazer badge and a school colours rugby top. Both schools sell other stuff with the school logo on such as jumpers and jackets, but you can buy everything else from other stores. Quite lucky really as it's not too expensive to kit them out.
When I was at secondary school we had a uniform of grey skirts and pink and white gingham blouses. Then a new head started when I went into the second year and he abolished the uniform. He was new age and trendy and said people should be allowed to wear their own clothes to express themselves. Then all the cliques started with the brand labels and girls with masses of make up and wild hairstyles and stuff. I hated it and would have rather had a uniform then everyone is treated the same and everyone gets on with learning rather than competing with each other to look the best. Here I go again on my own....0 -

That sounds horrible, lovely. I wish I could do something for you beyond say that it does sound like a horrible thing your parents did and you shouldn't second guess yourself - even if you're blowing it out of proportion (not saying you are) you're right to feel hurt and angry.Som, maybe I imagined it, but I think some Ikeas have a BFing area too, like slightly screened off from the main restaurant area
Ours has a lovely room with comfortable chairs and lots of cushions. But the last time I went there was one woman BFing in there and her mother sitting in the other chair, and she refused to get up to let me sit and BF because she was old  So I sat in the main entrance area on the display sofa and when someone came to tell me about the BF room I explained that there was a nasty woman in there who wouldn't let me have the chair and the shop assistant removed her for me. </smug>
