Morning all. Quite grey and icky looking here, so not sure what's on the cards today. DH got the day off since he's got to work a Sunday this week, so I'm all off schedule when he's home :p.

Yesterday we we went sphereing/zorbing, thanks to the lovely SS since her poor DH couldn't go. Even better was since you have to have 2 people in the ball, the person that was supposed to be during DH's time slot didn't turn up, so they let me go for free instead! Then we discovered that this restaurant that DH has been dying to try for ages was actually on the road back home, so we went for a major treat for lunch (agreeing to make it our anniversary meal, since that's next Monday ). And then very foolishly, needed to stop at IKEA on the way home. Eeeeeek, I have reasons why I don't go to IKEA on weekends/Bank Holidays! Took ages to get out of the place due to traffic.

And Finn did 3 poos yesterday! I half hope this isn't the beginning of a normal poo schedule, as I quite liked only having to deal with it once a week or so...lazy, moi? :rotfl:

Thanks Mel, had an app at 9am. He is fine and I am over-anxious parent lol. Not really, he has a virus rather than infection and his chest is clear which was my main worry with his hacking phelmy cough.
Doc was lovely, she was pregnant so obviously baby friendly, she commented that this was K's first time at the docs apart from jags but I wasn't sure how to take that comment :o

That's cos he's a healthy handsome fella :D Hope he feels better soon :A

Well i'm waiting on an Asda delivery, i wanted to use Tesco but i couldn't get any codes to work on a new or old account :(

Have been saving the jars from baby food so i plan on making my own stuff i've got a few recipes that i'm gonna try out.

One thing though, am i not allowed to use Oxo cubes? Or Bisto? Cos i can't do gravy without bisto lol! I'm a bit freaked out by some stuff i've been reading about kids dying of salt overdose, one story said they had porridge a lot and mash with gravy and died .

So if i was making a big joint of meat i could do my own gravy with gravy salts but i guess they'd be as bad? Otherwise i have no idea how to make gravy, and i'm not even making any joints of meat..

Oh i see :o Well i didn't order anything like that lol!

I have decided i love Heinz mums own Sweet Potato and Veg Medley, and Hipp Cauliflower Cheese. Oh and Amber LOVES Heinz banana sunrise cereal, it's well sugary though.. it's yum though i must admit.

I can't believe how much she's eating. She eats the equivalent of one full jar, 3 times a day and is having all kinds of snacks it feels like she never stops eating and she never seems to have any clean time anymore :rotfl: Jars have their use, they're easy but not MSE. So i've been getting some ideas from my AK book and a recipe leaflet the HV gave me.

I don't think she'd get full on finger foods atm, so i do give her food to hold and eat while i spoon feed her. Otherwise she really would be constantly eating

beenie i have always used nomal gravy on my litle ones food, i do not cook with salt so i do not see a problem. IMO these problems occur when the children are fed processed food continually and parents cook with salt. There are baby gravys you can buy but i would probably water the normal stuff down a bit?

that a long time to wait 3! i knew we would have a wait however did expect a refusal first, diagnosis isnt made until the 22d but my thoughts were get it in now and wecould always appeal once it had all went through. fingers crossed for you.

Erin is due her jags on the 24th :( didnt realise it was 2 either!

I think a refusal first is pretty much normal. I don't know how a renewal can take so long though, nothing has changed. And, I spoke to J's social worker when I filled in the form to check his address/phone number to put on the form. He said that in 6 years of being a social worker, he's never been contacted by DLA for info.

Beenie V has a little bit of normal gravy, I also don't use any salt in cooking, I haven't since J was a baby and there was a scare about a little boy dying from salt overdose in mash.
OH moans (and Mum if she comes for tea), but they can just cover their meals in table salt if they want too.

Aless How scarey was the sphering? Did it make you feel queasy? I don't think I could have done it- i'm a wimp with a weak tummy! :o
