Hi Andrea.
I just give Molly combinations of veg mashed so it has some small lumps in. She's nine months old, though, so I don't know how lumpy you want it to be?
Pea and courgette, Nicki said she made the other day and that sounded excellent, otherwise whatever veg you'd put together on your plate can go together in a baby's bowl.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

This is why we get a side order or starter rather than having a "childrens" meal.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »LOL - I was wondering about the type of food childrens meals are too! I don't give Benjamin yellow food really and whilst DSS is very good (his faves are pasta and fajitas) I hate to see him eating chicken nuggets

I've had a look round the forums trying to find something, but have been unsuccessful. I'm looking for recipe suggestions for a 6 month old. Well, almost 6 month old. He's been on solids since 4 months (he was huge and always hungry), so is basically at 3 meals a day. Just wondering if there's a forum out there on that!
Thanks in advance.
Hi Andrea,
What kind of foods does he like? Does he eat finger foods? What kind of food do you eat? Can he just have a version of your food (this is by far the easiest option LOL!)please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

MFD: I was a waitress for too many years to count and children were not 'expected' to have anything ordered for them til about 2or 3 infact I prob wouldn't even have offered the childrens menu at B's age.0

Lots of good news here today
Amber is about the same sitting up too, i'll post a few pics if i can get them uploaded.
Have had to start on 3 meals a day today as she's like a lil gannet. I've been giving breakfast and tea up til now. Gave her some cauli cheese for lunch and she had a bemused look on her face when she realised it was finished, so is currently destroying a banana and a biscotti in her L&G. Good job i have a dog hoover though.
Hairy hoovers rule! Pics are gorgeous
Jillie: Can I ask a work related question please?! When should I expect to get my tickets for an Airtours holiday? Ooo and also: Have you had anything else from BB since the blanket??!

http://www.annabelkarmel.com/recipes is a good start. Depending on what you eat as a family, a lot of stuff can be adjusted for the lo. Add some natural yogurt to curries. Less chilli powder in chilli. Pasata into tomato based dishes to make them a bit more baby friendly. When you do make something baby friendly, freeze some extra portions so you can whip them out in an emergency (and thaw in the microwave).
Although I ended up just using heinz mums own and hipp organic jars before she went onto our food (or if she can't wait cheese sandwiches, bananas, vegetable sticks, cubes of cheese, scrambled egg whatever else I find in the fridge). Keep some left overs in the fridge too when he is eating finger foods.
And if all else fails, she always manages to find crumbs in the rug, like now
