Kitchen clean, CBA to tidy the living room, Jack's bag and clothes done - just need to get my outfit out, have a shower and wash my hair but want to watch BGT first.
Oh and bring some washing in.
J is in bed and I;m hoping he'll stay that way for a while!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

You on a job-hunt GISI? Yay for slimmer clothes.
We went into town today to get Benjamins feet checked. The lady in Clarks had a good feel and press around his feet and said that his shoes are still okay for a while yet so to go back in 3 or 4 weeks...
Then Benjamin bent down and started pushing at his shoes and pressing on his toes like she did - the woman was absolutely bowled over by his cuteness and wanted to keep him!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
That sounds so cute, MFD. Benjamin certainly sounds like a charmer!
Possibly on an enforced job hunt, since I really don't want to work more than three days a week and I'm not sure my current work will agree to that. I've seen a nice looking part-time role so I thought there's no harm in applying.
You sound super-organised for your first day back, Glam!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Just sent OH fir subway, have nothing in that doesn't require us to turn in the oven it's too hot for that. Gonna do online tesco shop and order lots of salad, any one got any good ideas for cold meals that are tasty and filling?
None of these are actually cold and require cooking but are quite summery: stuffed sweet red peppers with cous cous. I usually serve with fish or would fork up some mackerel and mix through with the cous cous.
Any type of pasta salad thing
Chicken and chorizo kebabs with tomato salad or bruschetta or similar
salad potatoes halved and mixed with garlic, chilli, halved cherry toms and red onion, season and olive oil then bung in the oven. Can be eaten cold....
Do you know, I can't for the life of me think of an uncooked dinner.....lol0 -
Pair of baggy jeans being made into cut off's (just below the knee), should I fray them or hem a turn-up? Mid denim colour.0

I second csh's idea of cous cous, since all that requires is a kettle! It's lovely with raw tomatoes, cucumber, pepper and beetroot stirred through then I would add feta and chickpeas, but you could serve with chicken or something I guess.
The only uncooked dinners I can think of would be things like hummous and salad with pitta bread, tuna salad, prawn salad etc although I would generally serve some boiled new potatoes with those. Quiche with salad could work if you bulk cooked some quiches and froze them.
Another easy favourite here is veggie sausages (you could use regular) in pittas with salad and dips. I like mine with sweet chilli sauce and sauteed onions to create a kebab type thing.
Tia- I would turn up (and probably not be arsed to hem, but just iron into place).:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
