Krystal - my cousin has never breastfed any of her other 3 children (hasn't attempted too, all have gone straight to formula) She really want's to try and feed James as she realises the importance of colostrum and apparently I've inspired her :o (I'm the first to BF in our extended family for about 20 years!) Is there anything I can help her with? I was going to make some flapjacks and I've got fenugreek tablets she can have. I'm so proud of her as delivery was a VBA3C, we were discussing just yesterday how she felt about it all and she really didnt think she'd be able to.
Good for you for normalising it in your family :D

The best thing you can do is just be really supportive, let her talk to you about it and encourage her to seek help at the hospital... While he's small she should be expressing quite often to build up a good supply of colostrum in the unit and encourage her milk supply to come in... If the hospital is supportive then there should be someone helping her with this :)

There is clearly nothing wrong with Caitlyn, she is the cutest little thing ever and I'm pretty sure Ed agrees seeing as he knocked her over trying to give her a big snog lol. I really need to teach my boys that it's not the done thing to knock girls over because Chris does it to his 'girlfriend' too :p
    Why thank you :D

And I think it's a boy thing... Aimee's two little friends from church were chasing her round the park last year, dragging her to the ground and practically dry humping her... :rotfl:

Mfd, SS... I have some bad news to break to you...

The p!keys across the road have a Stokke...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    As soon as I finish BF'ing I'm having new tattoo's :)

James weighs 2lb and has talipes but we were expecting that, no more news yet and I'm hanging on to go over to the hospital. At the minute she just wants her mum and partner there.

sorry to be a thicket, but why no tattoos while breast feeding? and what is talipes? :o

Boogellyboo - might elle be able to help? I'm guessing James is too small to direct feed yet? she needs to get skin2skin as much as possible and try feeding/pumping lots. Did you see the skulls wrap on wrapsody? its in the clearance section

The hospital are going through hand massage with her today and have told her not to expect much to come out yet. I explained to her how little colostrum their actually is and they have a donor bank at the hospital too. They encourage kangaroo care too.

I didnt see the sling, I'll investigate later as OH's home :)

    I know Tara, he's clearly a nutter, but I couldn't resist ;)

Some of his work seems to have really sharp edges, Glam, all my tattoos are a bit softer :) I also find it very amusing that there are two separate tattoos with "only God can judge me" and praying hands on, one with and one without rosary. You think you've got an original tattoo and... :rotfl:

One of my school friends liked my first tattoo so much she went out and got the same one  and then my housemate during my postgrad did the same thing with my third tattoo

Edit: Krystal, a Stokke is not exclusively for the glamorous and fashionable amongst us [STRIKE]and the !!!!!! probably stole it[/STRIKE]

Glam I forgot to comment on ur tats, the one on ur neck is about twice the size I'd imagined! Glad you didn't get brain shake :D x

I must admit when he drew it on it didn't seem that big :o But hey it looks good & £40 for the 2 wasn't bad!

SS - I would be mega annoyed if someone copied my tatt  That's why I'm glad he personalised it from the picture I showed him.

SJ - oh don't tell me the foot hurts :( That was where I wanted to get the next one done - me addicted? Never :rotfl:I'm like Beenie and prams!

Managed to clean the bathroom so that's one room down!

I was furious, both times - but the first time was only a few months before we all went off to university and I only saw her a couple of times after that, then with my ex-housemate I think she was trying to flatter me - and she's Canadian and it's not like our paths will cross in the future. Besides, it's the Newgrange triple spiral, so I doubt we're the only two in the world ;)
