    Morning all..

I was in bed for midnight.. first time in a long while! :o

Nothing planned for daytime today but going to my parents' house for tea since Dad's complaining he's not seen Rhys for ages (he's always at work when mum looks after Rhys during the week and we keep driving passed him two streets away as he's heading to work and we're heading to their house, or same on the way home ). Need to pick up the safety gates and wipes that came with the Asda order too then somehow find room for them all!

Hope everyone has a nice day xx

    Yeah! :rotfl:
I have it on my Igoogle page. I did have a countdown to the birth, then once i gave birth replaced it with a wedding one.

It even counts down the hours, minutes and seconds :D

I was shocked aswell, but decided not to say! I'll not leave you as a lone voice though lol

Thank you. I wasn't being judgemental about pinkpig's circumstances, but to me maintenance is about day to day costs... I wouldn't fund the practice wife going on a jolly but we would/have put towards a school trip.

Sorry pinkpig don't mean to offend

    You didn't see anything SM?

What about sign language classes? That's not too hard to learn, won't be expensive, and will give you a line on your CV.

How do i go about doing this? :)
    Yes please :D
:) well I guess the easiest way is to take supplements (quite cheap in asda atm) I took 2 iron tabs a day whilst TTC kessie and up until my 26 week bloods.

If you don't like supplements then good dietary sources are red meat, offal (but avoid liver in trimester 1) spinach and brassica family veg... (I'll dig out a linkie for you :D)
at my 26 week bloods I had gone up to 13.6 so I was pretty happy, but I requested an FBC at my dating scan, instead of just the normal test, which is just a snapshot of one day's iron.

Ok the in a nutshell reasons for it are that the risks associated with a smaller than 6 month window between pregnancies (including any MCs) have been put down to low iron stores in the mother.

This causes the body to not lay down placental tissue in the same way, which can lead to prematurity, and/or post/antepartum haemmorhage in the mother.

Babies with a shorter than 6 month gap are 4 times more likely to be prem and 6 times more likely to have placental abnormalities.

I have no idea if studies show that iron supplements help, but after I read that there was a theory it was to do with low iron, I decided to take supplements. (there was a 10 week gap between Fergie coming and My LMP from which Kessie is dated.

Kessie was 12 days early, but was concieved on day 11 of my cycle, so probably not that early in reality. Our placenta was strong and healthy, his cord was so long in fact that he wrapped it round his torso on his way out!

Hope all of this helps :) (and sorry if you knew a lot of it already, I didn't know you are an aspiring midwife:o)

    love weezl
