Huggies wipes BOGOF at £1 at packet?!! Thats got to be the cheapest anywhere. Does that beat the £3.66 packs of Pampers sensetive from Boots Oh Spreadsheet Queen?? lol Should I stock up?Aha i knew there was a good reason the Asda order didn't happen. They can shove their wipes now
(tho i'll still have their nappies)
Mmm me thinks yes although I dont buy Huggies usually... interestingly in Tesco its the Natural care ones that are £1 and in Boots its the Pure ones that are a £1 although BOGOF is oviously betterMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

My daughter is already 3 and a bit months old and I just thought 'I never joined the parents thread!!!' As Jessica is our first child, we are definitely learning as we go along so I'm here for a bit of advice. This is our routine at the moment:
Jessica wakes any time between 7.30 and 8.30 (although a couple of times, she has slept later than this). She drains a 7oz bottle of formula then is quite happy to either lay on her changing mat or sit in her boucy chair often nodding off at some point during the morning for a short nap. SHe then has lunch, also a drained 7oz bottle of formula anytime btween 12noon and 1pm, then again happy to play during the afternoon with again a nap or two. Tea time is between 4pm and 5pm then supper at about 8pm, both 7ozs of formula. We then 'top her up' about 9.30 - 9.45 with 2-3 ozs the she goes down about 10pm and sleeps through the night. SHe is sleeping in her own cot in her own room and has been for several weeks - we can't believe how well she took to it right from the beginning.
She naps a few times during the day, depending on whether I'm at home all day or at my Mum's (she often sleeps on the 20 minute journey) or if we take her out for a walk but no significant long periods of sleep during the day anymore.
SHe is a well settled little girl but does anyone have any useful advice or if things need changing. We can't wait to start giving her something more than milk but all the literature advises against this but I think she is ready for it.
Here's hoping for any useful advice you might all want to pas on.
Regards
Emma
Hi welcome to the thread.
I would say your routine looks fine and she seems very content. I know it can be tempting to want to hurry everything along when it is your first, but she seems happy enough and is napping and sleeping well, I really wouldn't rush into introducing food yet. It can actually have a detrimental effect on their sleep patterns as a few mums on here have found....
If she was draining 9oz bottles every 2-3hrs and never settled or sleeping at night, then I might offer different advice but as it is she seems to be doing just fine:) I would definitely wait until the 17wk mark which is the earliest 'they' say weaning should start. If you really wanted to, you could then just start with a teeny bit of baby rice/porridge etc at one meal a day and progress slowly.

hi brednall - wow what a textbook baby you have there!
I agree with Fitzio, I weaned Jack when we were at the stage where he was having 2hrly bottles during the day and he started to wake for more milk feeds at night (we were on hungry baby milk as well).
If she's draining 7oz bottles then definitely make up 8oz.
I had a baby like Jessica (sleeping through) until I started weaning and ever since he's probably only slept through about 3 times! She seems very content, if she wanted solids then she'd be wanting bottles more often and through the night.
I am shattered! Have done far too much today, my tummy is aching
Walked around IKEA and Dad treated us to lunchJ demolished pasta and bolganese much to OH's disgust cos it was his lunch - I told OH he would eat loads of it but he didn't believe me :rotfl: I then decided to nip down the post office so thought I might as well try driving. They said to wait a week to 10 days but I figured its been 6 days and I feel OK, could do an emergency stop OK but it made me feel very sore actually driving so think I'll wait til Monday before I try again!
Beenie - I would go down the dispute route in case she tries to diddle you.
Early night for me tonight - want to get a free hours of baby free bed space!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Am I complete dimwit or are they either £1 a pack or BOGOF at £2.49 a pack? I am so confused about this wondrous offer you speak of!
Also, I meant to ask, does anyone know (or can hazard an educated guess) at when the next Sainsbury's third off baby products is due?
Brednall- welcome! It sounds like you have a model baby there, and I agree with others that I would wait until she is showing signs of being ready for solids.
JM- glad you love your new pushchair.
Beenie- I would open a dispute although I think it could go either way, to be honest. What's the worst that will happen even if they rule in her favour?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

I'm not happy to do this without my postage costs up front, how does that work then?? Cos i know she wouldn't refund my postage and it's about £15!!! And if i could get her to pay my postage i'd just say that's my basket money then ta very much byeee
Should i just open the dispute? I just want a partial refund or the basket, looks like she's playing me here, to try and call my bluff.
When I had the problem with a dress a while back, paypal eventually said I had to send a dress back for a refund and I got back the postage I had paid the seller but not the postage I'd spent sending it back.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Both the £1 and the £2.49 packet come up in the same BOGOF box. It states BOGOF at the top then tells you to add 2 for the offer.
I checked on my supermarket and they are showing Tesco as £1 a packet Huggies as 2 for 1 so I think its legit! I too was disbeliving. Have ordered some to arrive tomorrow night. ( Plenty of active £10 off WYS £50 codes about too)0 -
Sorry, hello brednall! Your routine sounds fine, so long as you are happy with it and getting plenty of sleep, thats all that matters.
Wish my bread luck, it's in the oven! First time hand making bread, I'm nervous...0
