I was born in 73 same as you SB

Rubys speech is really coming on and she has started to put sentences together of 4/5 words but sometimes she just talks nonsense with just the last word pronounced correctly so you dont actually know what shes said at all:p

Ooh, I'm in good company then! :D

Oh and we got her a teething necklace (very hippy for me!) and I think that its helped - although shes only had it for 2 and a bit days. :D anyone else any experience of these?

    Where from?

I'm 1971 so that makes me 2nd oldest... earliest memory is getting the hump with my brother and sister while my aunt was babysitting us. My dad was in hospital with pleurisy so I swallowed a SIXPENCE and was taken to the same hospital while they waited to see which way it came out!!!! :eek:Still have it as well, think I was about 18m - 2 yrs....
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

Ooh, and some big news. Me and OH were planning on getting married next spring/summer, but 2 of my nieces will be busy doing their GCSEs and i don't want them to be having to take a weekend off and they're some of the most important people. So........we're getting married this September instead :j :j

Randomly had the idea last Friday/Saturday and it's kind of snowballed so now the registry office and the evening do are provisionally booked!! :T
But now i can't think about anything else :o

We ordered the wedding rings from Goldsmiths on Wednesday - OHs is a plain gold band but quite thick, mine is a gorgeous Contour one which is a gold band but with a twist in the middle. Its looks really pretty and fits round my engagement ring perfectly :D

Splashed out a bit tho (for us - most people probably spend more!). Because mine was fancy and like a designer one it was £335 and OHs was £249 cos its quite thick. So £584 altogether  but (proud MSE moment!) partially paid for using £570 of Tesco clubcard vouchers :T :T :T So we are paying £14 :D
:j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :j
Aims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy :D

Dress and shoe description please Aless, or even better a pic!

Bearing in mind it's a bit wrinkly from its trip over the Atlantic...

Shoes = totally adorable, but Aless = mega wimp for heels.
And in a completely no stalkerish way...:o I was reading your sisters website yesterday... The proposal story made me cry!!

    I am such a sap...

:rotfl: :rotfl: slightly stalkerish, but it doesn't bother me. It's such a sweet story - her fianc! reminds me soooo much of DH in that he's a hopeless romantic as well ;).

(thanks - I seem to remember seeing a bridal shop near the leisure centre so will give them a ring)

    eta: n_maz, great news!!! :T :T :T congrats!

OOh - how exciting! :j And bargainous rings too. :T

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEENIE

My baby boy is back from his holidays tonight - i can't wait. I've really missed him, I keep looking at his mug hanging in the kitchen and feeling sad. :(:o

I'm off to the retail park to wander around aimlessley for an hour, looking for something for his birthday.

Then back home at 11 for a Tesco delivery including Tara's bargainous meal deal glitch, and a rimmel tan glitch which I don't think has charged at the 3 for £2 price. Do i accept the delivery then phone CS, or refuse the delivery?

While i'm waiting i've got curtains to adjust for J's new bedroom, then I'm off to find some random garage in the middle of nowhere for them to have a look at OH's car.

Awww thanks everyone :o Workinmummy sent me the most lovely card and present and i nearly welled up :o

My own mother doesn't even trouble herself to ring me on my birthday so you can all adopt me :D :rotfl: DS forgot too, so i told him and he said he'll make me a card after school.

Happy birthday to Reece too!! :T I obviously remembered that anyway :D:D

Fitz i'm hoping my Buzz will come today!!! I'll cry if not lol, but have just had Amber's new cot mobile delivered (ebay tho, i didn't pay that much!!) so that was like a present to open too hahaha.

I officially HATE Asda!!! I rang this morning and asked them to apply the code to today's order so after transferring me to 2 other people they said no, so i said just cancel it then. I know for a FACT!! that Tesco would have applied the code.

Aless is that you in the pic? You have nice legs :D I have the most awful huge legs. I always have, even when i was slim. I have to buy boots from Evans cos of my huuuge calfs.

I would prob set a limit fo 40 for a L&G provided it was "as new"?
