LOL - hubby just came down the stairs from putting DSS to bed and said 'Are you sure he is not yours?'

DSS room has a normal light switch as you go in and then a pull cord by his bed. Hubby tucked him in and said 'Shall I switch the light off or will you?' DSS craned his neck to look at the switch and then said 'You switch it off dad - the switch will be the wrong way all night if not and it will look funny' :rotfl::rotfl:

I am SO like this!!! Hubby and practice wife couldn't give a toss and don't understand!!

    Bless him!

That is something that I would do (and do on a regular basis)

I have actually. In 2005, we stayed in Antalya, it was beautiful. The local were lovely although very pushy to try and get you into their shop or restaurant (you get used to it!). It was June, it was VERY hot and I had a seizure on day 3 of a 7 day holiday...so kinda ruined the whole thing (the only one I have ever had :()

I think Becles goes to Turkey regularly.

I was thinking beginning of June, 1st week. But OH has turned his nose up and I don't get it. If we all AI then restaurants and stuff don't matter. Have found 5* AI for next year, 1 week 2Ad, 2Ch + Maddy from our local airport £1500, thought it was great! :(
Too many children, too little time!!!

Yeah, things like that irritate me too...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I was with my ex at the time. Hubby wouldn't consider Turkey. I think there can be a 'dislike' of the culture and a wariness of the geographical area. I struggle to get hubby to go anywhere east *rolleyes* I did pursuade him to go to Goa when we were newlyweds but he swears he will never go again. He hated the poverty and has been mentally scarred by an elderly indian woman having a dump by the side of the road/on the beach :rotfl::rotfl:

    Men are funny b00gers!

Will be hot though - I'm not great in heat.

I am getting pushchair obsessed!! We had a second hand M&P Pliko Pramette at birth which I am still using in pram mode (just!) and pushchair mode. Then a month or so ago I bought a Zapp on boots.com when it was on offer. I love it and its the first big extravagance really we have bought brand new. We figured we will sell the M&P once T has grown out of the car seat. Only probs I have now realised with the Zapp are the lack of recline (think hes a bit young still so need to wait a bit longer) and also that it wont face me. Didnt realise how much I was gonna hate T facing away!! So I guess what I am thinking is could I justify keeping the Zapp as our quick chuck in the car stroller for shorter trips and popping to the docs etc, then get another pushchair, hopefully that would face me but would deffo recline? Does anyone have any experience with any like this? Wish I had asked all this before really, I really need to learn to stop buying on a whim!! I was tempted with the Petite Star Zia at the same time as Zapp but really wanted the Zapp, so typical me!!

ETA Reasoned with DH that if I can sell enuff bits on ebay to pay for another pushchair then I can have one. Could be a while then, lol!!

I like the Zap, but the not lying down is a no go, and the Zia wasn't really sturdy enough for round here.

I don't get OH, whenever we go AI we hardly leave the hotel grounds, just bum out for the whole week so we could be anywhere?

Agreed Tara, think in hindsight I wouldnt have bought the zapp although I do like how light and easy it is to push downtown, but hes too little at the mo :( Do you think when he gets a bit older, the no recline is less of an issue, ie should he be able to sleep ok like that once he is a bit sturdier? He has fallen asleep in it once but looks so uncomfortable there is no way I can leave him like it. Why oh why did I not research more first, doh!!

  • Tara - mine won't consider Egypt either. You can always get good deals to Egypt and their standard of 5 star will be better then Turkey's. Worth a try?

fattybooboo (what can I shorten your name to?) I still like Benjamin to face me....but he likes to face away and see some interesting stuff :(

Thanks MFD, yes I guess T will want to be looking around and seeing whats ahead soon enough, he prob would prefer to already!! Maybe I shouldnt factor that in so much and just concentrate on the recline and ease of pushing (and price!!)

Yes I know my user name is hard to shorten, some people have done FBB which is good with me??
