Tia - I don't know what to say hun but big ((HUGS)) if hubby ever encouraged one of the boys to fight with anyone I would hit the roof. Not to say that I don't want the boys to be boys (and I think the odd scrap is part of that ifI am honest) adults should know better and should always intervene.

Tia - I agree with MFD.

*hopes that this was aimed at me because I showed an interest, not because I made you feel bad about how you dealt with the situation*

No, don't worry about that, you didn't make me feel bad at all :). It was aimed at you because you asked me to let you know how I got on.

Glad you went and got to the bottom of things. Better to have it all out in the open than have it lurking around unsaid.

OMG about the biting!! One of my extensive list of childcare questions was about dealing with children who bite (because so many of them do go through it) do you know what they did about the situation? Poor C - have you had an apology off the mother of the child involved. I would be mortified if Benjamin did that to another child (and it could SO easily be one of ours doing it soon enough).

I haven't had an apology from the mother of the child, but Caitlin only goes on Wednesday and Thursdays and as it was Thursday it happened, we haven't been back yet. It'll be interesting whether we get an apology or not as, from a personal point of view, I would want to know if Caitlin had done it to another child, so I could apologise and have a chat to Caitlin too. I was impressed how they dealt with it - they completed an A4 form with what happened and how they looked after Caitlin (cold compress and lots of cuddles) and I was required to sign it. Apparently Caitlin had a toy that the other child wanted but Caitlin refused to give it up, so the other child bit her.

I did think of another question that I would add to my list earlier but I have forgotten it now *baby brain*

Having to add some text here as I got a message telling me that my message was too short!

Yeah, but how do I say 'this is unacceptable' without losing my temper? I need a list. I need to write a long list of all the issues and maybe if he has to actually face it he will grow up and deal with it.

And of course, now he is nowhere to be found. Probably out for a walk with the neighbour and his dog.
Perhaps including something along the lines of you know that boys fight but it should be playfighting/wrestling - not actual proper fighting where they are really hurting each other. Also use of weapons (stones) is unacceptable. Would you be able to afford karate or judo lessons or something? It could be a good way of teaching Michael how to defend himself without it being mindless violence and might pacify OH.

Feel free to ignore - I'm just writing anything I can think of that might be vaguely useful.

Whoops! I thought about it the day before her birthday but didn't want to do it in advance and then I forgot.

JAM - sorry hope I didn't sound critical!! Was just saying that wasn't exactly the sling that Jenny was talking about but it's similar and can fulfill the same purpose (I just personally wouldn't wear that one for long periods of time as it doesn't look as supportive as, say, a mei tai or wrap sling. I'd have that one as my "secondary" sling)...in fact, I'd totally buy it for a quick in-and-out if I didn't already have my ring one. I love my mei tai too :D.

Glam, good news it's "just" the appendix. Hope the antib's are doing their job!! Hope your OH pampers you properly when you get homorrow tomorrow.

Beenie - is Amber rolling around at all? It's kinda creepy that she and Finn are so alike in weight and stuff...he also loooooves to talk right now. DH is convinced his "mmm mmm maah" sounds are like "mama" but of course I know better.

boo - failed miserably, of course!! I can't start things on a weekend...I need a Monday to be inspired. Laaaame excuse, eh? :o:o I did do some crunches today if that helps? :p
